  1. Just curious...has anyone been diagnose with stomach ulcer since surgery. If so, how was it treated? I'm almost 1yr post op and attended a 1yr post op support group class on Wednesday. The RN really focus on things to eliminate after WLS. The top three are smoking, drinking alcohol and caffeine.

    Ucler after WLS

I hope so to. I was curious because I will be going on a cruise in September and may want to drink a little wine. I don't want to create any problems with my pouch. I'm a non smoker and don't drink caffine so these two things don't bother me. Thanks for your reply.

    Too many colds

Has anyone experience one too many colds since having WLS. I'm only 8 mos post op and had 3 head colds already. Is there any connection????

Can we talk about boobs and bras?

You have got to love these respones. Kudos to all.
  5. I have always been a private person when it comes to my family and peronnal life. When I embarked in this new and exciting lifestyle journey I became a new person. And I'm lovin every moment of it. There are some who openly expressed both inter change and outer appearance. People are very curious in nature and want to know how I did it. Than you get the ones who'll just check you out from head to toe and want say a word. I get a kick out this one. I smile and keep it moving. I have shared my WLS with family members, acquaintances and a few co-workers. People will be judgmental, but who cares. I love me and have always been very secure in my skin. You have to be comfortable in what every decision you choose...share with others or keep your experience a secret. Good luck to you!

I drink plenty of water and other fluids throughout the day and my urine is still dark in color (bright yellow). I believe it's the vitamins that changing the color.

    Post-OP Mixed Emotions

It gets better. Hang in there and try not to stress. Just remember that is is a new beginning so there'll be some adjustments. The good news.....in a few weeks or even months you'll love the decision you made. In 3 days I'll be 6 mos post op and wouldn't change not even one thing. What you're going through is normal. I wish you the best.

    Coffee after weight loss surgery?

I drink decaf coffee with splenden and creamer every day. No issue. I believe it depends on the instruction from your Nut and Dr. We were advise not to drink any drinks with caffine, no jucie no sparkling stuff. I have to have my coffee every day or I'll go nuts LOL.
  9. I know the feeling. I have never experience such horrible constriptation in my entire life until I had surgery on July 26th,2017. I believe taking all those vitamins is the root of the problem, practically the iron supplements. I had lab work done in November 2017 to discover my Ferritin level was above normal. The dietician told me to stop taking the iron supplements and switch to the multi vitamins without iron to decrease my Ferritin level. In doing so, my bowel movements are back to normal. When I had this problem nothing worked but good old Phillips Magnesium in liquid form. Take it just before you retire at night with 8oz of water and by the next morning you won't have a problem releasing. It worked for me, hope the same for you. Always check with your Dr. first. Good luck!

    Biggest challenge

Slow down when I eat. I have always been a fast eater. And sweets...OMG. It's a struggle to not eat them. So I'll suck on hard candy if it gets too bad. I'm doing good not eating chips though. So what's yours?

    I cant eat now

Hello Missytee, Believe me it gets better. Hang in there and try not to stress yourself out. In the beginning it'll be a struggle to meet the protein and water goal. Focus on getting drinking your water and protein daily. In due time you will be able to increase your meal intake. I had VSG surgery on 7/26/17, and I experienced the same thing. I'm just begining to eat about 2 to 3 oz of protein with 1/2 cup of veggies. You're doing great by staying on top of your vitamins. I never had a problem with low energy...I'm just lazy when it comes to exercise, LOL. Keep pushing your way through, it truly gets better. Good luck on your new and exciting lifestyle journey and congrats to you on your progress.

    Weight Regain After Gastric Sleeve

Good morning, i was just curious, did drinking alcohol effect you any different than before the WLS? I was told that we wouldn't be able to tolerate drinking the least amount and that one small dip would put us over the edge quickly. What was your experience and do you drink?
  14. Congrats to you. You look absolutely beautiful! What a wonderful transformation. You're making me cry...so please join me. Keep up the good work.

  18. How did you overcome constripation.
  19. Do both. You deserve the tears and the backflip. Just be carefull when backflipping. You don't want to hurt yourself. You look absolutely beautiful. I see why people keep hating on you. Don't feel bad....they do me the same way. Keep your head up cause you doing great things. Congrats to you!
  20. Keep loving you. Stay positive. Don't feed into negative vibes. Continue to be polite to others and treat everyone with dignity and respect. If you focus on these things, no one will be able to rob you of your peace and joy. And never forget that you are beautiful no matter the size. Keep up the good work.
  21. I had sleeve surgery on July 26th. I went to the doctor today because I started feeling an unusual sensation and pain around the rectum area. I was diagnosed with internal hemorrhoids. Has anyone experience pain from hemorrhoids after surgery?

    Cold Feet

Yes, it has been worth every moment since my surgery date of July 26, 2017. I just wish I would have done it sooner. It's normal to get cold feet as this is a big lifestyle decision. You still have a few more days to research, talk to others who had the surger and most importantly pray that you will have no regrets. It will take a few adjustments afterwards, but it's durable. I love my sleeve. I've lost a total of 80lbs and feel great. No more knee pain. Diabetis and high blood pressure is gone. You will do fine I wish you all the bes in the new and excited journey. Keep us posted. We're here to support you.
