    Belching

I'm two weeks post op and have realized when I over eat or eat too fast I will burp. This is a warning sign to slow down or stop eating.

    Newbie Greeting

Welcome and good luck to you on this new lifestyle journey.
  3. Thanks for sharing your experience. As human beings, we all go through life challenges. No one is perfect. You have recognized the issue and have taken full control of a plan and or solution to assist you. That says a lot. You have done a great job thus far. Remember, it's not the outer beauty but the inter beauty that molds us. Shake the dust of your feet and continue on this journey. Congrats to you on your success.
  4. Wow that's great! Congrats to you!

    My 1st month sleeved!

Congrats on your success and keep up the outstanding job! I was sleeved a week ago, July 26th. Even though I was a nervous reck and wanted to bail out many times. I'm so glad I stuck with the WSL. I feel so much better than I have in a very long time. The day of my discharged from the hospital, the nurse said that my diabetes and blood pressure were normal. I take no meds now. God is so good!

Does your body adapt to the malnourish

I'm just 5 days post-op from Gastric Sleeve and my stomach makes the same type of noise only when I eat. I was told that this is normal. Did you say that you are 9yrs out and you never experience this before? Strange.

    So Hungry

I was sleeved on July 26th and feeling very, very hungry since the day after surgery. I have never felt such strong hungry pains in my entire life. It was so bad it woke me up one morning. I wanted so badly to eat something unhealthy at that moment, but instead I grab one chewy calcium vitamin at 5:30am and called it a meal. Now this is pretty bad. LOL

    Always hungry

I would love to hear the responses to this thread. I was sleeved last Wednesday, not even a week yet. I have never felt so many strong hungry pains in my life. I wake up hungry which is very unusally for me. One morning it was so bad I ate one chewable calcium vitamin at 5:30am to keep from eating something unhealthy. Now that's bad. LOL

  11. Nice job. You look great!
  12. Congrats to all. This is exactly what I wanted to hear. Pleased with your Sleeve. I was just sleeve on July 26th and hoping that I feel the same way as time progresses.
  13. I was Sleeved on July 26th and was discharged the following day. At 3 days post-op I still can't drink much. The pain and nausea is gone, but I'm still sore around the incisions. It's a challenge trying to take the vitamins and drink the required liquids (64oz). It's still soon so I'm hoping it'll get better. We have just got to hang in there.
  14. I'm 3 days post-op and feeling kind of light headed when I take a walk. Also, I feel a little pressure in the new stomach area when I drink. I never experience some many hungry pains in my life. Is all this normal.

Good luck to all. My surgery is on Wednesday, July 26th.

    Dizziness in the morning, severe

I'm scheduled for surgery next Wednesday, I will be having the Sleeve. Since the start of WLS program I've attended several support group classes at my healthcare facility. This is a common question that many patients asked. It's my understanding that many may experience dizziness and light headed the first year or so. If I were you I'll still check with your doctor for precaution and to rule out anything else that may be going on. Congrats on your success and good luck.
  22. I was told by several people who had WLS their poop smells really bad always. Some say that it can be very embracing to use the restrooms in public places. Is this true for both the Bypass and Sleeve?
  23. You should be fine. It's hard to start any diet around the holidays. Good luck in your new lifestyle journey!

    Anger and agitation

I'm sorry to hear that you're going through these challenging moments. It'll get better. I know how frustrating it can be just drinking protein shakes. I'm on a pre op meal plan and loving it[emoji4]. My health plan does not put us on the liquor diet prior to surgery. We eat real food that's high in protein and low carbs. This is preparing us to eat for life and the weight is dropping. You will do great.
