  1. No one ever told me I couldn't use straws either. I was using them within a week of surgery. No issues.
  2. I flew from San Diego to Houston. I paid a little extra for one of the rows with extra leg room and I was fine. I was worried about blood clots so I wanted to be able to stretch and move around. I had plastic bags also in case I got sick and couldnt make it to the restroom, but I was fine. I dont think you need first class.
  3. I was off for one week. I survived, but if I had it to do over again I would take two.
  4. Luckily my license expired 7 months after my surgery so it was perfect timing. I'm concerned about my passport though. I dont think it looks like me at all anymore. I had just renewed so I''m dreading paying for another one. I've lost 85 pounds and oddly my wedding ring still fits just fine. I always had slim finger so I guess I really didn't lose any weight there. Same shoe size also, but my feet don't hurt anymore!
  5. Good luck to you! I hope all goes well. Just remember it will all be worth it in the long run!
  6. My surgery was 5/1/17 and I feel good. Some days I eat just fine and some days I can only eat a little but other than that I'm good. It sounds like stress is your main issue and we all know what that can do to anyone. Hopefully once you get settled into school and get a routine going you can relax some and ease your symptoms. Best of luck to you! Just hang in there.
  7. I'm boring. I had a chocolate Premier Protein shake.
  8. I'm 8 months out and mine still makes a lot of noise after I eat. When I'm in quiet places like work I try to eat very light to minimize it.
  9. I was sleeved May 2017 by Dr Covarrubias at ALM in Tijuana. I got there on a Sunday and left that Friday. I went alone and didnt have any issues. I would do it all over again.
  10. You look great!!!!
  11. My weight came off my face and stomach first. My thighs seem to be more stubborn.
  12. I was off for one week. I survived but if I had it to do over I would take two. I have a desk job so I was seated most of the day but I was very tired.
  13. You look great! I'm sure you'll reach your goal in no time!
  14. Congrats! Hopefully your day will come quickly!
  15. I'm 7 months out and I still avoid it because it's uncomfortable for me. If I drink too soon after eating I feel a lot of pressure as the food goes down.
  16. Actually the chocolate one is the only one that doesn't bother me at all. Maybe after you're further along it wont cause you pain. Or you may just have to avoid it.
  17. Congrats! I remember how excited I was when I finally had a date. Best of luck to you.
  18. a few people noticed while I was on the pre op diet. But after surgery I started get a lot of comments within 2 weeks.
  19. I'm definitely getting my breast done when I get to one year post op. I will be content after that.
