  1. Try these! They are very good & Orgain comes in chocolate vanilla & peanut butter maybe more. They are very good & healthier than most other shakes such as premier. Also a nice change when you get bored with other flavors. 1 scoop of each is 30 grams of protein & about 200 calories with 30 calorie a serving almond milk. I add ice or water to make them 10-12 ounces.
  2. Liquid Diet & anticipation. Was scheduled for May 30, 2017 & backed out at the last second. I wish I would’ve had it done then. I lost weight during the pre-op diet & felt that I could do it without surgery. It was during this time that my true relationship/addiction to food was realized. So happy to be back on board!
  3. I don’t know how long it’ll take but just one pull-up is my goal. More would be even better!
  4. Garden of Life is the best I've had.
  5. How long has it been? How close to goal did you get? How much have you gained back?
  6. Come on there has to be more longtime sleevers out there with stories to share. Would like to here from more men who had this done. Thanks
  7. I didn't go through with my surgery & I regret it. I'm back to my old bad habits & have reached out to my surgical group to get the ball rolling again. I have delayed this long enough. Thankfuly I don't have to do anything but blood work pre op & get scheduled for surgery.
  8. Have them redo the test. Sleep apnea doesn't just disappear.
  9. All of the above! I'm not there yet but this straw can't bend much further.
  10. Anybody else? Sure would like to here from more of you.
  11. Guess I should've read the rest of the post.
  12. WTH? I hope you guys are friends! ?
  13. I see so much talk on here about caloric intake & the amount of calories the amount of protein etc. but I see no mention of nutrient dense nutrient rich foods now I know I haven't had the surgery but in my opinion the only calories that matter or calories that are extremely high in nutrients! The medical field has completely left out nutrition and the majority of doctors are not trained in nutrition they're only trained in medicine and writing prescriptions rather than prescribing nutrition. I know this isn't for everybody but how much better would life be for the majority of patients had the doctor written a prescription for fresh fruits and vegetables and very little or no meat? There are other suitable ways to get your protein. I am a vegan & I'm not suggesting everybody become vegan but I do believe that if everybody filled their plates with fresh fruits and vegetables and very little protein it would reverse obesity and many other health problems that are running rampant in the world. Ive been a carnivore my entire life and six months ago I would not of believed this to be true but after much research I hold animal proteins to be in contempt and plant-based foods that are nutrient rich to be the much to ignored cure. I have no interest in this as a Ushuaia, religious, or activist way of life. I just cannot discredit the health benefits of more plants and plant-based protein then damage causing artery clogging animal proteins. If this interest you Google it or look at the documentaries on Netflix. The evidence is staggering & it turned this lifelong carnivore into a vegan and if I ever decide to introduce meat or animal proteins into my life again they will be the smallest portions but my plate. A 4 ounce piece of meat is enough to season a dish for flavor for an entire family.
  14. I'm so sorry. Your surgeon should have payed more attention to your mindset. I hope your feeling better as you recover! I've decided that surgery is not for me at this point of my life. I'm still young enough & strong enough to fight this in other ways. Best of luck to you & I wish you much success.
  15. I wasn't referring to meat as empty calories I should have been more specific. What I meant was junk food. I ate meat my entire life & enjoyed it both as food & good a source of protein. I may eat meat again but empty calories such as sweets & other heavily processed foods I'm out. Today confirmed that even more so.
  16. Surgery cancelled by my surgeon because I wasn't in the right mindset. He scheduled me to see him in two weeks. I already had the IV in to. I told him how I've been feeling and he said ,"Well surgery don't sound like a good idea at this time". I agree with him. It's been a battle to meet all the requirements & do the postop diet but I've been battling with my own inner demons. The last couple days have been torturous on my mind. You can't go into surgery with the wrong mindset or you'll come out the wrong mindset. I guess the best device I can give is if you're scheduled for surgery and you're having doubts speak up before it's too late. I was 353 when I had my first appointment before the seminar I weigh 298 today. The majority of my weight-loss has been the result of a plant based vegan diet. If I can keep it up I may scratch surgery altogether. If I relapsed to carnivor and start eating empty calories again then surgery will may be the only option. I feel relieved with this decision & happy not to be in recovery right now. To all that had surgery today & before congratulations for making such a brave move towards future health & happiness. As for me I'm in limbo at the moment.
  17. I can't believe how nervous I am! Been going back & forth after all I've been through on whether or not I want to go through with this! Is that a normal way to feel? I heard this on the radio and thought that sounds accurate. After all the years of listening to this I now realize these lyrics even more!
