    Drinking water without issue

At what point do you feel restricted? I have yet to feel restricted when drinking water. It’s been very smooth so far.

    Drinking water without issue

I had surgery on the 18th & I’m finding it easy to drink water to. I had already drank 2 L today and it was just past noon.

    January bypass buddies??

I’m actually in Spokane. I like the garden of life the best. And the Orgain is very good and they both come in different flavors I use one scoop of each to make a shake and it’s 30 g of protein it’s delicious.

    Always nauseous!

I had surgery on January 18th. I requested a patch for nausea behind my ear before surgery & they told me it would last a week. I haven’t been nauseous once since surgery. My pain has been minimal but I have taken meds at times & before bed. I’ve already had 2 L of water today. I eat five two ounce meals (liquids) a day. I have yet to feel restricted or overfill my pouch. If you having pain or nausea issues I would suggest calling your surgeon immediately so you can get the proper meds. I don’t anticipate needing any nausea meds after the patch wears off & I’m pretty sure I won’t be needing any more pain meds. After my two week post-op appointment my meals will change to 4 ounces (puréed) on a 2-3-2 plan. Eat within 2 hours of waking up then every 3 hours throughout the day and my last meal 2 hours before bed. After 2 weeks of that I’m onto solid foods. Hopefully you can get some meds that will make it easier for you to tolerate things. You got this. Good luck!

    Just beginning my journey

I don’t know of them. I’m on disability & my requirements were nearly none. My surgery was also covered 100%. I’ve read on here that some companies are pathetic.

    I need to BURP!

It’s stuck & it won’t come out. It’s driving me nuts!!!
  12. I’m eating 2oz meals up to 5 times a day until my two week post-op. I’m also downing my water quite well. Here’s pics of my Breakfast, my snack, & the list given to me by my doctor before I left the hospital. I’m having no problems with the exception of slight pain when moving to much. My surgery was January 18th.

    Recommendations for low-fat creamy soups

Don’t be concerned with low-fat at this point. After you move to regular food then watch what you eat. But in the early stages you’ll be deprived of needed fat & calories anyway. Enjoy your soups!
  16. Feeling better everyday. Heading for home after lunch. Having my Carnation instant breakfast & water now.

    I need to BURP!

I’ll try that now! I’m going crazy!
  19. I had surgery yesterday and everything went well. I’ve had one little trouble spot below the center of my rib cage. I started drinking water today. It’s going pretty good if I don’t have any setbacks then this is pretty much a breeze. I have yet to feel the fullness of my pouch but I’m sipping water & taking it slow. I’ve been taking my pain meds pretty regularly due to that one trouble spot other than that things are going great! Almost time to go for another walk.

    Just ONE pull-up!

I don’t know how long it’ll take but just one pull-up is my goal. More would be even better!
  21. I had mine Thursday & have been doing my best with water. I had some broth yesterday & it went down well. I also have pain but can somewhat control it with medicine. If you need something a little stronger contact your doctor & get some liquid meds. Hope you feel better soon.
