Coffee?
I really like this Chike mocha coffee protein powder. It tastes great with unsweetened chocolate almond milk and some ice. I drink one every morning now. It has 20g of protein per serving.

Coffee?
You can get used to it. I was never a big fan of artificial sweeteners, but they don't affect my bs so I learned to like them in my coffee. I only use 1 teaspoon of splenda, and it tastes great to me now.

What's at the end of the rainbow?
Very good point. We need some new things to focus on that also support our new healthy lifestyles. For me it is fitness, running specifically. I have set some short term and long term goals for races and this has really taken my emphasis away from losing weight already. I know the weight will come off so I am just eating right and working on building my running mileage.

Keto vs paleo??? Have you ever tried it?
For me lower carb works the best. I started eating LC back in January at 233 pounds and I lost down to 208 on my surgery date. The difference now is I am focusing on high protein. Having type 2 diabetes made this choice a no-brainer for me as my body is obviously very sensitive to carbs. Since surgery I have had normal BS and off all diabetes meds. This diet works because it is sustainable for me. My carbs usually fall out at around 25-30 net on a daily basis. One day a week I eat 40g net carbs as I have read and been told this is a good idea especially having a thyroid problem. My protein has been 75-100 consistently, and my calories are 950-1000. I have great energy and just feel healthy.

That happened to me this week except it was 1 pound.

Weight in the low 200lbs before surgery
i was 208 on the day of my surgery. I had been up as high as 255 and I have type 2 diabetes. I went for the sleeve because I did not want my intestines touched. I am happy with my choice. My diabetes is gone and the weight is coming off.

Please help...soft foods phase
when I was still on full liquids I didn't wait to resume drinking fluids after drinking a shake, but once I started eating soft foods I did. The shakes count as fluid intake so treat the shakes like they are fluid once you start eating other things.

For fun, please help! Clothing Size vs. BMI?
I am sure you will if you keep to your plan! We tend to lose a little slower because we are considered light weights, but I am still losing pounds and inches every month. Good luck!

Just got discharged - AMA
It isn't that painful for everyone we all have different tolerances for pain. I didn't feel that bad at all. I never took a pain pill once I left the hospital. My worst pain was gas and a little nausea the first day. I don't want you to get super scared and back out.

Day 7 Sneezing!
I didn't have any pain after about 3 days post op. So I'm not sure what the average is, maybe I am a fast healer.

Stomach growling
It probably isn't because you are hungry though. It is just acid and sometimes we mistake that for true hunger.

What was the biggest surprise for you at or after surgery? What do you wish you had known?
Wow, that is a new one for me. Why was there blood everywhere??? That didn't happen to me..

May 15th, 2017 Sleevers Check in Here!!!
I feel like this month is going a little slow too, but overall it feels good to be half way through our 3rd month post op. I have really started to notice just how large the portions served in restaurants are. I think to myself how I used to be able to eat those serving sizes and I am so happy to be where I am enjoying my 3-4 oz. That looks like a good book @Newme17. I may pick it up for my kindle if it is available. I hope everyone has a great and blessed Wednesday!

May 15th, 2017 Sleevers Check in Here!!!
I have a love hate relationship with stalls. I seem to have then for at least 10-14 days every month, but I am still losing inches either way so it doesn't matter. I hope yours breaks soon.

Foods you no longer enjoy
So far the only food that bothered me was scrambled eggs, but I can eat them now if they are mixed with a lot of veggies. Everything I liked before I still like. I haven't tried any foods I don't like..lol.. I am not craving bread, rice, potatoes, pasta, or sugary foods at all. I am so thankful for that and I have no desire to ever eat them in any kind of quantity again. I used to love crackers and cheese as a snack, but I have no problems turning down crackers now. This is what I love about the keto diet. It really takes those food cravings away. I look forward to my salmon, greens, chicken, ect..
