  1. Despite the cruddy overcast weather, I’m feeling oh so good. I was in beast mode at the gym. Did a ten min warmup, my weights (went heavier today), then a 30 min intense interval training on the bike. My sweat was literally dripping all over the machine. Lol. Out of consideration for others, I did wipe it down with the cleaner they have available. Just wish others would do the same. Anyway, feeling pretty good here, and healthy. Just finished a 3oz snack of a Greek Quinoa Salad. Yum. Full of nutritious goodies. Y’all have yourself a blessed day. Off to the mall....

  3. Shared it elsewhere, but I’ve finally been able to put my wedding ring back on. A little bit snug (coming off) but it slides on. I’m a happy wife right now. 😊😍❤️

  5. The worst dumping episode

On Friday night I had the worst dumping episode to date. I have had nothing like it so far, just mildly and immediately after I have eaten, this was a case of late dumping.

I didn't eat much or as regularly as I would normally do, as I had the day off, and things are never how they usually are. I also donated plasma in the morning, not that I have ever had problems with that before.
In the afternoon I had a few reeses covered pretzels (Yes, I know) and didn't think anything of it. I was playing with my dog on the floor, was a little tired, but nothing unusual, and then woke up over and hour later. I was shaking, heart racing, sweating, legs like logs, stomach not too happy.

I knew I had to eat, so managed to get some food in me, forced myself to walk my dog half a block and then went to bed and stayed there for 12 h. On Saturday I still wasn't back to normal, a friend also telling me that I was extremely pale. As the day progressed I got better, and Sunday was no problem, went and worked out as normal.

But what a horrible experience. Guess who has another intensive to stay away from sugar.

That sounds scary too me almost similar symptoms to low blood sugar with the sweating and shaking.

Glad you felt better on Sunday.

  6. What a wonderful hubby. He sent me a video text telling me that he wants me to focus on getting my mommy makeover that I want. Sure I’d have to wait for it (I am only 5 months post) but I have his total support with it. He says it’ll be my anniversary gift. 😊 I’ll take it! I better start saving now.

  7. It's been a while on a status for me, but I would like to know if anyone has experienced this about 5 months post op sleeve...it started yesterday.  I eat a bite of something and instantly I feel it hit my stomach.  I've only had a few bites of food today for the sake of my stomach, so I'm very tired (but I've been taking my vitamins) and my motor skills are lacking.  I've dropped many things today.  I feel like I'll just drop myself as well, but I still managed to clean, do laundry, and wash/clean my car.  Usually I'm pretty upbeat and have tons of energy, but this is new.   I'm about to go lay down for a nap just to see if I can revive myself somehow.

I think I have read some posts on here where people have said that if you have a day where you eat softer less dense foods your sleeve may seem smaller when you try to eat denser foods again. Maybe that is what is happening? I love my salads, but they are like slider food for me. I think this may be my problem because then if I try to eat some beans or a curry I get full after like 3-4 bites.

  8. So the ex-bf is completely out of the picture. I could not handle the uncertainty of his behaviors. One day he likes the way I dressed, the next day I was begging for attention. Once he started with the insecurities, I had to let it go. Truthfully, it did not hurt me as much as I thought it would. And that is because I had falling in love with someone else.

I fell in love with a woman. She is the most funny, beautiful and caring person I have ever met. She is strong, confident and dorky at the same time. She is everything I ever wanted in a person and she is ME!! I FELL IN LOVE with MYSELF again. I forgot the person I used to be and went searching for her and I found her. I never want to lose her again. If that meant giving up someone else for the sack of myself, then I would do what is necessary to keep me as a I am.

I guess sometimes you have to be selfish. I cannot sacrifice my success to make someone else fell secure in themselves. I cannot sacrifice my peace of mind to give some one a peace of mind. I just could not keep living my life through other peoples wants, hopes and desires. I want to live my life for me. I have wants, hopes and desires and I plan on making them happen.

      Amazing transformation!!

As women we tend to take care of others and always place our needs and wants last. That only works for so long and then we get to the point where we have nothing left to give. I am preaching to myself here as much as any one else.

You keep on loving yourself girl!!

I sure hope the B complex solves this issue for you. Maybe a checkup with blood work should happen soon?

I haven't had the motor skill issues, but I have had days where my sleeve seems to feel super restrictive and I can only eat about 2-3 oz and I feel so full.

I have been taking more enjoyment out of watching my cooking/baking shows on TV though  Can't believe my surgery is soo close@ This process has been incredibly fast for me (went to free WLS seminar by surgeon July 29th), and can't believe my life will change for the even better so soon!

  13. I seem to have hit another stall already--I keep waiting for my loss to hit 50 pounds but it just isn't getting there. I have lost a bit of the grip on what I'm eating and whether I'm getting enough protein and so on--a lot of changes lately. I moved about a week ago and then lost my niece (age 43) to a heroin overdose. So, kind of traumatic times. I don't think I'm going to be able to get to the funeral. Like so many things, nothing I can do about that.

Still, shopped yesterday and have some protein shakes, much as I dislike them, to help me get back in control. Made a birthday cake for the friend with whom I'm staying, but that's gone now and I've bought some sugar-free fudgesicles for my "sweet."

I'm a bit frustrated by the fact that I don't really notice a change in my body and I'm still wearing all the same clothes. How much do I have to lose before the clothes are too big? Sheesh. And then I have to stop a moment and realize it's only been six weeks since the surgery--this is a long journey, not a sprint.

    So, onward.

I think we all go through these down moments after surgery and especially during a stall. Just don't let this lead to self sabotage, find the positive side in everything you have accomplished thus far and believe in yourself. Imagine yourself as you want to be 6 months to a year from now. Keep that image in your mind and push out the negative thoughts. Don't let past habits back in. Yesterday's mistakes are already in the past and today is a new day.

      You can do this!!!

      I'm Praying for you today.

  14. Today I finally hit 100 pounds lost since my highest weight! I'm pretty stoked, and hoping I can get to goal weight by the time of my one-year surgiversary.

  15. I am getting ready to go for a run this morning. It will be my first time at this distance 4.5 mi. My training plan has me gradually increasing my long runs and next Sunday I will be doing 6.0. I know I can do this. I am ready, it is exciting, but if I am honest it is also little intimidating seeing all of these dates on my calendar with 3.0-8.5 mi runs for the next 3 months. Gone are the quick 2 mile runs. I will need to get up a little earlier if I am going to be able to do a 4+ run during the week before work. I am proud of myself :) I never dreamed I would be a runner. My dh is joining me now on Sunday runs and it is great that we can do this together.

It was the end of June so I would say 5-6 weeks post-op. I was walking and using my elliptical before that. I started with a run/walk C25K program first. When I got to the point that I could run 2 miles without walking I just went out and ran 4-5 days a week increasing my distance a little each week. Once I conquered the 5K (3.2mi) distance I decided to train for a half marathon taking place in April 2018. I would ask your doctor just to be sure.

  16. I fit into a size 12 ya'll. A SIZE 12!!!! OMG!!! Yes. I only lost 2.2 lbs but I dropped 2 dress sizes. I have to get a 14 in pants because my butt is big and the 12 wont go past my booty.

This week is buffalo chicken for lunch and breakfast is turkey bacon and eggs. That is small bag of ranch (1 tbsp).

  17. Iam going to Mexico on Nov 1 to have surgery.  I got a million questions going on in my head. I dont know what to bring. Will I be cold? People are saying they get cold. So e people jump up and walk and some people go through living hell.  I think it all boils down to doing what you are told to and not doing thr pre op right.  I am also seeing people that are happy they are my size. God bless each and everyone.  I pray your pre op and post ops go well and your day to day healing gets better.  I know I am kilking myself with a fork.  Heres to all of us being healthy and enjoying life.  There really is more to live than food. ❤️

  18. I have hit the dreaded stall . . . just past four weeks but haven't really lost anything for the last week. So, right on schedule. Not too worried, but I do wish I'd get past it. On the other hand, I feel as though I'm eating as much as I can, and my calorie counts are now in the 500 to 700 range. So it will start again.

      You are doing great!

We all have a pattern of how our bodies lose weight. I weigh every day so I have picked up on mine and never really worried about the stalls. I will gain and lose the same 1-2 pounds for 3-4 days before the lower number sticks, then repeat for 2 weeks , then stall for 2 weeks... lol. My 3rd to 4th month I lost 14.5 pounds and it has slowed done now.

  21. It's my 11 month surgiversary!  I'm down 105lbs and I have 45lbs left to go.  My surgeon and I agreed on 150 as my stopping point today.  I was so excited to be one of his sleeve patients who have lost over 100lbs. I guess we are few and far between in his office.  Never looking back!

  23. HAPPY 39th BIRTHDAY TO ME!!! :D

Yep, today's my birthday and I'll scream it out loud for all the world to hear.  Why?  Not for birthday wishes, but because of the birthdays I had growing up weren't really celebrated too much.  When I became an adult, I would always be depressed on this day.  I had enough of it two years ago and had a revelation (thanks to my brother) and decided that from now on, I will celebrate my birthday and be happy on this day. I believe that this is the day that God has made and He and all His angels are rejoicing because I was made!!! I won't be sad anymore.  Sure, things come up, like today my four year old had the biggest epic fit over a pair of pants (and at school--the first ever) and also today, I'm missing work because I'm not feeling well, and have to go see the doctor as well.  I even weighed myself to see if I made it to onderland, but that didn't happen either.  But despite the negative stuff, I am well, TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY AND I WILL BE HAPPY.

  24. 9/12 - Went to the trainer to new a training regiment. The first was just cardio and light lifting to get me smaller and my body to be a lot more flexible. Now, is the real stuff. I have a HIIT workout 3 days out of the week. Heavy cardio of 30/30 for 45 minutes and a light elliptical day.

    Monday: HIIT

    Tuesday: 30/30 Cardio

    Wednesday: HIIT

    Thursday: Light Elliptical

    Friday: HIIT

She says now its time to get to the real stuff. She knows that I want my body to look like and she created this to start me off. I have 4 weeks of it. She also added room to modify the work out if I am really hurting to do one less set. I am just so excited. This a work out that she does but her's is way more intense and done a faster pace. Will be increasing my calorie intake from 775 to 1000 calories on these HIIT days. I will need to make sure that I am eating enough to sustain my body.

9/17 - My mom decided to buy me a Pandora Bracelet. Lol she was not prepare for the cost of it and told me, "Happy Birthmas" lol. She told me to add charms and numbers for every goal I achieved. She told me she was proud of me and was so happy for all my hard work.
