  1. I hated shrimp and clams pre-op and can’t get enough of them now.
  2. I like Bariatric Advantage
  3. @sadiebug I’ve noticed the same thing, Like yesterday for instance I was able to eat a lot of salad. My issue is that I don’t get hungry, but when I eat I rarely get that “full” feeling that so many bypass patients talk about, so it just makes me wonder how large my pouch is.
  4. For anyone 9-12months out I’m just curious if you guys still weigh meals, and if so how much you’re able to eat at a time?
  5. I’ve read that any type of WLS is an automatic disqualification, but I have not found anything current. I did see though that the Air Force does not automatically disqualify you if you’ve had WLS...so my question is has anyone here had and experience with trying to enlist or actually being accepted?
  6. Thank you so much to everyone that replied, I’m gonna try to up my water intake.
  7. Has anyone experienced dizziness after surgery? I’m 8months post op and have noticed that when I stand from a seated position my head spins for a while and it’s been happening since a little while after my surgery.
  8. @insul817 thank you, I'm going to try them
  9. I was stayed in the hospital for 3 days and my post op was 2 weeks later
  10. Thank you to everyone who responded & thanks for the suggestions on alternatives
  11. I haven't but I definitely will give it a try
  12. So I'm 7 months post op and I still do not have the will power to stay way from chips. I started eating them again about 1-2 months ago and if I eat too many they make me feel sort of crappy, but I keep going back to them. Does anyone else have trouble with junk food?
  13. I'll look into it. Thank you
  14. Looking for some cheaper protein options than the Ispoure I usually buy... any suggestions? I already know about premier and I like that one just looking for other options
  15. Congrats! I was incredibly sore for the fist 2 weeks after surgery. I had my surgery on a Monday, but I wasn't allowed to go home till Thursday evening.
  16. @heatherable I have not, but I'm definitely gonna give it a try. Thank you
  17. So, I'm about 10 weeks out and I'm having trouble getting in my protein. I don't eat enough to get it in and i'm SICK of shakes... has anyone found it easier to eat protein bars? (I haven't tried any yet) but I'm considering it...
  18. I was constipated for 7 days after surgery. I was so miserable that I finally called my surgeons office and I was told that I could take milk of magnesia
  19. I'm having this same problem and was curious about why it was happening... it mostly happens when I get up from a squatting position
  20. I had really bad pickle cravings and would drink the juice 2 weeks after surgery. I wasn't able to eat the actual pickle till I was 4-5 weeks out
  21. Thanks for the response, i'm actually starting to notice this as I add more variety to my diet. It's a huge relief because I was nervous at first.
