shelli58 reacted to NuHorizons in 5 months Sleeve to MGB post-op pic
    Hi All
Here's a brief update of my Sleeve to MGB progress. The before pic was taken in the hospital after my revision. I was 247 pounds then. The pic on the right was taken today. I weigh 187 pounds. I've lost 60 pounds since my surgery(02/10/17) and 66lbs since my pre-op diet. I think my weight loss is pretty good for a revision patient and I'm on track to finally reach my weight loss goal. I'm so happy that I got my sleeve revised!

I have Hashimoto as well.......my weight loss has been slower than many others but it has been steady. My doctors seem to keep adjusting my meds and, as you know if you have Hashimoto or any thyroid issue, it takes weeks/months for the tweaking to become evident when they adjust your dose. My T4 is 1.2 ng/do; my T3 is 137 ng/do; my TSH is 0.04 uIY/mL. I do think Hashimoto's makes it more difficult but not impossible if you are determined and stick to it. Sounds like you're doing terrific so keep up the good work and try not to compare yourself to other's progress. As long as your moving in the right direction you should be very proud!

I have Hashimotos and I was Sleeved on Feb. 28th .... I have dropped 32 pounds since surgery and a total of 88 pounds since Oct.
This disease doesn't affect the surgery process at all, or didn't for me at least!

Wow! I'm nowhere near your Protein or calorie intake but everyone is different. I'm at 24g protein through Protein Shakes and protein Water. I'm getting about 300 calories a day. I am getting about 50oz of water a day. Good for you for being able to get your nutrition up so soon. I'm working on listening to my body signals and drinking on a regular schedule as well taking my supplements religiously. Good luck with your journey! You're off to a flying start!
