  1. Hi all, I need words of wisdom or harsh language, or both. I ate 2 HUGE pieces of cake today in a half hour. My food intake and habits are going back to what they were. I am under a lot of stress right now. I am in training and also going for surgery on Tuesday to see if I have uterine cancer. I am also unfilled and am scheduled for the first fill in mid July due to insurance rules.
  2. Hope she is okay. Check in when you can!
  3. Even if it doesn't, if you can show hardship you can apply for Charity care at that hospital.
  4. LOL!!! I have a clip of someone doing a great Walken impersonation. I'll have to pist it in my weird links
  5. Yes, It freaked me a bit before my banding and it didn't go away after. It's still weird to me. Sometimes I'll be driving or something random and I will suddenly think to myself that I have a band wrapped around my stomach and a port in my side. Sometimes my thoughts go to it and wonder if it's eroding or something like that. Negative thinking I know. But I'm human.
  6. Saw the title and immediately had the Zep song in my head. I love me some Led Zeppelin
  7. I totally understand where your coming from hay. I felt and thought the same way. In fact , even though I was approved, it took a year of research, going to LB support groups , thinking and reading forums like this before I had my surgery. I finally decided to do it when I packed onanother 20 lbs, joined WW 2 times during that and started having trouble breathing, walking and washing myself. I knew then I needed help and it wasn't a diet. Yes, i still have trouble with my choices. The band is not magic and the same addiction I had pre band I still have with band. But it really is helping me. Take as long as you need to to come to the decision. Attend support groups, etc.
  8. oh my god, this is too funny...only in America. These people in Alabama think they have seen a Leprechaun http://www.ebaumsworld.com/videos/leprechaun-in-tree-part-1.html My favorite line: "who else seen the leprechaun say "yeayy!" rofl
  9. I'm reading Snowflower and the Secret Fan. Excellent read, it's fiction but accurately describes the way of life for Chinese women in the last century. The foot binding is an experience to read about. Very well written and a great story.
  10. AHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!! When I read that title I thoguht to myself "Damn Tricia, your brave to post that question" http://www.pbase.com/ookonline/image/8800058
  11. WOW. I'm so glad your on the mend. I hope you can fully regain your health. Perhaps posting your experience will save someone's life !
  12. LOL!!! That bathing suit should be outlawed. Here it is again but on someone else; http://www.xs4all.nl/~vhulst/tehoror.jpg
  13. Jack, anything like this speedo? http://www.wwtdd.com/images/bor4.shtml lol
  14. Thanks to everyone with the tips!! I'm looking forward to getting a first fill because for some reason, all of a sudden this week I have "opened up" and can eat everything like before. It's becoming a struggle to hang onto the weight I have lost.
  15. Prayers for your husband that the surgery is easy and totally successful. We ask that this surgery's recovery be swift and start him on the road to better health. Thank you God, already done. Amen.

  18. Hi Jenny, I'm sorry to hear how sick you were. That is alarming. I did read on either this site or obesityhelp of someone else who thought she was allergic to the band. Her blood pressure and white blood count was going up, she was dizzy and was having respitory problems. My biggest fear, even more than erosion damaging my innards is exactly what your describing. Allergy to the band. Because like you, I'm sensitive and allergic. I'm glad your feeling better, please keep us updated and stick around. because someone might come along that needs to hear your story.
  19. Mary good luck and I hope you get your answers. I heard somewhere that the chance of slipping again after an intial slippage was greater.
  20. My goal is to lose all the weight I need to, to feel incredible both physically, emotionally and mentally and get back into my acting. Take classes again in New York and start audition. My goal is to have a great role in TV or film within 5 years.
  21. Thanks for the encouragement Alex. :-) I'm all for being in the "un-complications" club!
  22. I believe they do. :-( Stinks doesn't it. They make it harder for the surgery to be a success.
  23. Thanks all. Makes sense. I love this board. I'm unfilled because Medicare won't pay for a fill for 90 days after surgery. I stopped losing weight about a month ago.
  24. Hi all, I am unfilled and 3 months out of surgery. I just ate 6 ounces of breaded seiten (fake chicken for vegetarians) I was starving and 3 ounces did not fill me up, so I had another. Is that normal???? I'm a bit worried about being able to take in so much food to fill me up.
  25. Let's start doing that K@t, good luck to us both!
