  1. I'd be interested. I'm almost 7 weeks post- ob and down 30lbs but I've got a lot of emotional stuff going on. Group would definitely need to be private. No one knows except my husband and my mother.
  2. Ugh... I thought I was the only one! I can't stand water anymore even with different flavoring in them. I've been drinking ocean spray sugar free juices.
  3. Yes march 2017. Congratulations on your up coming surgery!! I had my surgery at Gwenett Medical. No complications yet. I'm 6 weeks post op today [emoji3]
  4. I was sleeved on march 14. It's been a struggle. I would love to have a buddy.
  5. I was sleeved in March and was wondering if anyone else lived near me and wanted to start a meetup group? I live in Woodstock.
  6. So I've been doing a ton of reading up on this on here and other websites. I'm getting conflicting answers. Does your stomach over time stretch back out or not? Some sites say no it's impossible for one medical reason or another and some say absolutely yes that it can. Just wondering what you guys have heard or learned. Thank you in advance.
  7. Don't be disappointed. Our stats are almost identical and I am 5 weeks out and have only lost 20lbs. We are going to loss slower then another person weighing say like 300lbs. At least that it what my doctor told me when I went in discouraged last time. Hang in there. Your doing great!
  8. Well, my first real test of my big Italian family holiday get togethers was a fail. I'm 6 weeks post-op and I gave into my cravings yesterday and today and ate food I shouldn't of. Then I stupidly came home and weighted myself. I gained 2lbs in the past two day. I'm so mad at myself and have just sat here crying. My addiction to food is more powerful then I could of ever imagined.
  9. [emoji4][emoji4][emoji4][emoji4][emoji4] good luck!!
  10. Hi It will be 3 weeks since surgery on Monday and I'm barely getting down 400 calories a day. I can't meet my protein grams. I get sick every time I try to drink a protein shake. I've tried about 5 different kinds so far and I just can't get it down. I don't meet my liquid intake either. I don't feel like eating , drinking anything.
  11. Mine didn't but I wish he had!! lol I was allowed soft/pureed foods after 7 days.
  12. Yes! I've actually done it a few times. I've got six kids so I'm constantly making snacks or meals and I've accidentally popped something in my mouth several times. It definitely hurts. I just have a lot of bad habits to break and obviously ones I wasn't even aware I was doing before sleeved. I can only imagine how many calories I consumed just by grazing a little each time I made my kids food [emoji51]
  13. Why can we not do fruits even in the long run? Just curious because I hadn't heard that.
  14. Can we eat watermelon the first weeks? If I basically sucked on it. Can you tell I'm desperate [emoji22]
  15. Hi everyone! I came home Tuesday and it has been really rough. I've had a lot of gas pain and a terrible headache. I ended back in the ER the same night I got home because I needed better pain relief. I'm having such a heard time not wanting to eat. I physically couldn't if I even tried to but I wish that switch in my brain would turn off like it does for some and just not crave food. I can't eat really anything that is approved except water and green jello. I tried the sugar free popsicles and immediately threw up. That was the worst pain of my life. I'm hoping these next few weeks go by quickly and I start to heal.
  16. I came home on Tuesday and I should of stayed one more night. I have been walking a lot. I made a protein shake and have only managed to get about 5 sips down over the past 30 min. When does the pain stop in your stomach the minute the food or liquid hits it. That's half the reason I don't drink because it's so painful.
  17. I had my surgery Monday and I feel awful!! I had horrible gas pains that have gotten better but now I'm left with a Extremely bad headache and can barely tolerate tiny sips of water. Please any words of encouragement will be greatly appreciated. I feel like I've made a huge mistake.
  18. No you'll be fine. Just stick to the pre-op today. My surgery is tomorrow morning so I'm in the same boat as you today. Good luck!!
  19. These are all the worries I have. I'm afraid I won't be able to change my eating habits.
  20. I'm worried about a lot of things but I'm mostly afraid I'm going to go through all of this and not loose much weight and this will have all been for nothing. My current weight is 211lbs and my bmi is 35. I have high blood pressure and high cholesterol and I'm 41 :-/ Any encouragement would be wonderful.
  21. Thank you. I have quit but it's only been since Friday and I don't plan on having another one hopefully ever again. I'm just wondering if they will test me and cancel my surgery if I don't pass because it will only of been a few days since my last cigarette when I go for my pre-op.
  22. My doctor never mentioned that they will test for nicotine or cotinine. Is it routinely done in your pre-op blood work. My pre-op work up is Tuesday and my surgery is March 13th. I just stopped smoking Friday. I know.... bad but it has been such a stressful month. So I guess my question is what do they normally test you for in your pro-op work up?
  23. Hi I'm new here and my surgery is scheduled for March 13th. Is their anyone here from Georgia? I would love a buddy near me to go through this with.
  24. My doctor said to wait a year and it would be fine.
