It's been almost a year since I had my sleeve done and I can honestly say it was the best decision I've ever made for myself. I fought my weight for 30 years, and won small battles, but never the war, not until now that it is. I feel healthier and happier than I have in years!

Ive had stalls that lasted 4-5 weeks than all the sudden I drop 3 or 4 lbs. As CJ said, keep following your program. It will eventually show on the scale!

You look so good! Are your incisions gone and healed?

Hi teesdg,
My incisions are all healed but still visible.
Between my gallbladder surgery and then my sleeve surgery, I have so many scars on my stomach, looks like the face of a clock. Lol

Hello All!
For the first time ever, I voluntarily posted a picture of myself on FB. I was sleeved on 3/6/17. Just a couple days after my 49th birthday. My SW was 236, my CW is 163, and GW is 150. Other than my first week being a pure nausea hell, everything else went great.
I do miss eating more than a few bites of food when I'm really enjoying the taste of something. I also miss baking. One of my favorite hobbys. My co workers also miss my baking! Lol
But I feel better than I have in years! I would never have asked for, and gotten there promotion at work, had it not been for the surgery. I knew I wouldn't have been able to do my current job if I didn't lose the weight.
Anyhoooo...my pics

Premier chocolate shakes are the only ones I've ever been able to tolerate.

I'm a little over a month into my surgery and I just can't get comfortable enough with drinking Water. Not just water but any liquids at all, I can eat and keep things down easily but liquids are a no go. I've been re-hospitalized for dehydration and I'm so terrified of feeling that sick again that I need to find a way to drink enough water. How do you guys do it? I know there are water enhancers and I plan on trying some but I am very sensitive now to artificially sweetened things and they all just taste like chemicals to me now. Soaking my water in fruit doesn't seem to do much either. I'm just at a loss and so scared. Maybe I'm over thinking it.
I had trouble getting all my water in, so I drank very warm fruity herbal teas. It helped immensely and went down easy.

I was nervous too, but my evaluation was really just a long talk about the surgery, long term goals, my support at home, making sure that I understood the entire process etc...

Dr. Onopchenko did my sleeve on March 6th. He was awesome. His entire team and office staff are great. I've never been so impressed by any medical staff as I was worth them.

I was nauseas for 4 days and also had "buyers remorse", but on the 5th day, I could finally keep some warm herbal tea down. It got much better from there

I was very lucky with my surgeon and his staff. Dr. Onopchenko was wonderful. He and his staff were very kind and explained everything. Treated me and my husband with great respect.
Best experience with a surgeon that I've ever had. -
My surgery was on March 6th. I felt sick for 4- 5'days but then I woke up one day and felt so much better. I'm still a little tired but im feeling better every day. And yes, I too have this insane heightened sense of smell. Drives me crazy...

Premier chocolate and banana cream are the only ones that I can drink on a regular basis. Everything else is to sickly sweet and artificial tasting.
