This is just nuts! Why would you even consider doing these yourself? Spend all this time and money... Just to screw around and lose your band? I don't understand. I would NEVER do anything that might put me or my band in danger.

Hello there everyone! I live and work in Arlington, TX and My surgeon is Dr. Richard Carter. I was banded Sept.8th and am doing pretty good. Down 30 lbs! At least it is going the right way!

Thanks everyone for your support! I know what I am supposed to do, it's just getting into the habit of doing it! Yes something is happening to me too... I am losing inches as well. I would just like to see it on those #@&*scales. Anyway, THANKS EVERYONE FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Yes, I think you are right! I will start tomorrow with 3 small meals. Don't know for sure what that will be, but I will make the effort. Shakes for breakfast and lunch have just been easy.. I need to make more of "a meal" .... your right... I need to make more of an effort. I will do it.

I am lucky to keep down 800 - 1000 calories. My protein shakes are 190 each and I usually have 2. One in the morning and then one about 2:30pm. I usually don't eat lunch and at dinner very little (and I have been so hungry, I tend to eat to fast and something will get stuck and I end up pbing it up anyway). 1 to 2 glasses of wine about (200 calories) and not every night. so maybe I am not eating enough?

Ok, all September Banders. Here's the question! I was banded on Sept 8th. My weight at surgery was 222, today I am 209. What the hell is wrong? I am doing EXACTLY what I am supposed to be doing. I am soooooo upset today. I had my first fill on Oct. 18th. Can any of you give me any insight? I need some support here!

Yes, I did really well the first & second week, down almost 11.5 lbs but after I started eating REAL food it has just been really slow. I am happy to know that we all are in the same boat and that we are all doing what we are supposed to be doing. (Slow and easy!)

I haven't had to do this yet! But yesterday, Had this weird feeling in my throat and pretty soon kinda felt like I was going to throw up (kinda sort of) I went out and spit and the episode was over. Is that what ya'll are talking about?

Hi everyone! I am doing great! Banded on the 8th and just plugging along. Have any of you been drinking Ensure? What is your take on it. I don't really like the powder protein drinks, so have been using Ensure. If any of you have any info on it, let me know? Thanks in advance.

I will be one week post opt tomorrow, and yes have the left shoulder pain! I had to actually lay down yesterday and put the heating pad on it. I did take some Gas-x as well. It is alittle better today and hopefully it will be gone by the weekend! Hang in there!

Here Everyone, I'm back!!!!! I didn't die and I am sitting here at work today. I am only staying 1/2 day today and tomorrow but will try and stay all day friday. I am doing great, except for being sore in the port area and my left shoulder just kills me. My surgery was friday and it went really well I was back home by 12noon. Saturday was the hardest day so far. I had alot of pain and the port area was the killer. But I was a trooper! Anyway Thank you all for your support!

Well folks, It's finally here! I go tomorrow for my surgery! I am kind of scared, mostly of just not waking up.... I know everyone feels this before a major surgery, so I am ok with it. I know I will be ok, but it's that little "what if?" that is troubling. Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know and I will keep you all posted on my recovery! Send good Karma my way tomorrow! Thanks for being there for me!

Any words of wisdom? I go for the preop testing on Sept 5th and my surgery is scheduled for the 8th. I am praying that everything goes well and I am done jumping thru the hoops. (I had to wait 6 months and then another month because my doctor got sick) I really don't want another snag... So...... any thing I should be doing now before the testing????

HI Y'all! My baby is a mini pom. He is black, 6 years old and weighs about 5 pounds. He is soooooooooo spoiled! We have him clipped in the summer because he gets so hot. (Not that he is ever really outside). We have spent more money on this dog then we ever did on our kids, but I am totally in love!

Hi ya'll from Texas! I am scheduled AGAIN for Sept 8th. My orginal surgery date was August 11th. However, my doctor became ill and had to reschedule all his surgerys for awhile. So It's back on again now for the 8th! I am getting excited again. It will be here before I know it! Man after waiting 9 months and then having to wait a whole month more, this last few weeks have just been creeping by. Anyway I will keep all you Sept. folks in my thoughts! Good Luck everyone!

At the time of the murder, I lived in Colorado and it was pretty much on everybodies mind. I hope that they have evidence to prove he was the only person involved. There is just to much other stuff involved that doesn't add up. On Msn this morning, it said that he said that he "pick her up at her school and brought her to the house basement" Why was she at school in the middle of the night on a holiday???? and why was HE picking her up? See there is still to much we still don't know. Also where did he get the exact amount to ask for the ransom? (John's bonus)..... Just to many questions!!! It will be interesting to see what all comes of it!

Actually, my surgery was postponed because my doctor got sick. He had a blood clot in his lung. So we had to reschedule for Sept 8th. So I am waiting again.... But it will be here before I know it! I will keep everyone up to date. I really appreciate your asking about me!!!! Thank you!

BabyJessica: Just to let you know, if you didn't get my email.. My surgery is sheduled for Sept 8th. I could of done it on the the 1st, but I am a controller for my company and need to be here for our end of the month closings. So it is the 8th.. I also had to choose between the the 1st and the 8th because I have to have my surgery at the Medical Center of Arlington and Dr. Carter only does surgery there on Fridays. Hang in there friend.. It will be here before we know it. I was upset too, but really it is out of our control. Just enjoy the rest of your summer and go on your trip and have fun. The next few week after that will be life changing! Hooray, I am ready for my life to change!

Hey all you August people... I just found out that I am being moved to Sept. What a let down. Here I was ready for Friday and have everything ready to go and the doctors office called and said that my doctor is cancelling all his surgeries until Sept. He is out sick. Now, I am just sick. Another whole month. What a disapointment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
