    How are people losing 10lbs/month?!

Something you may want to Google "Why the Scale Lies" (by Renee Cloe). Sent from my SM-G900W8 using BariatricPal mobile app
  2. After reading your post, what came to my mind is, are you discussing the fact that you are self-sabotaging with your therapist? If so, what did they say? Sent from my SM-G900W8 using BariatricPal mobile app

I think in some ways this forum is a microcosm of our society. Some folks are haters, some folks have your back. I just hope you don't let the few jealous creeps ruin your experience here, because I think you have a great deal of knowledge and experience now that will be invaluable to this community. I disagree. They were saying he wasn't being truthful, which he was. Explain to me how that is encouraging him "to be his best self"? That was hate. Dismiss it if you want to, but it's obvious that's what it is. Sent from my SM-G900W8 using BariatricPal mobile app

You sir are a MACHINE! You've done incredibly well - please keep us posted on your progress please? (And in regards to the haters - sometimes I think people get caught up counting others people's blessings instead of their own. Sad but it happens. Just keep letting your light shine [emoji295]) Sent from my SM-G900W8 using BariatricPal mobile app

Fantastic progress! May I ask what kinds of exercise you've been doing? Whatever it is you're doing - it's sure working!!! Sent from my SM-G900W8 using BariatricPal mobile app

    What are you saying?

The way I see it, I didn't ask for anyone's input or approval gaining weight, & I see no need to ask for it while I lose it. Sent from my SM-G900W8 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Bariatric Vegan

Hi there! I was wondering if you might be able to answer a few questions for me? I am a bit confused as to whether or not it's okay to remain vegan after surgery? I've heard so many people tell me that I'll be unable to get my protein quotas met, and my dietician said it's not even realistic "cutting out entire food groups". *sigh* So I guess what I'm wondering is - are you able to get the required amounts? Also what sorts of supplements do you require daily? Is it the standard post bariatric multis, along with the B's, iron, calcium etc? Many thanks in advance [emoji111] Sent from my SM-G900W8 using BariatricPal mobile app

  20. I had anemia after being vegan for a long, long time. I was told to start taking iron supplements and with my morning OJ, but it did nothing. After doing some online research I came across a medical study on a different type of iron supplement called: "Ferrochel Chelated Iron Bisglycinate". I was intrigued by the information, so I found a company (Now brand) that produces it. I have been taking it for 4 months, 2 pills a day. I no longer have anemia. I'm not ever going without it again. Talk to your doctor & do a bit of research to see if it may be right for you too. Good luck Sent from my SM-G900W8 using BariatricPal mobile app
  21. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions as to what one should bring to the hospital - other than the obvious, like pjs slippers, toothbrush & toothpaste? I'm just betting I'm going to get there and wish I'd thought to bring things that I didn't forsee. Sent from my SM-G900W8 using BariatricPal mobile app
  22. I was curious as to whether or not it's possible to stay on a liquid diet post roux-en-Y? Has anyone tried it or know of someone that has? I met with a nurse a few days ago and posed this question to her. Her response was that it wasn't recommended, but when I asked why, she was unable to give me an answer. There are various liquid diet options out there - like Unjury - that offer a wide variety of products that aid in providing a proper balance of vitamins and minerals, so why couldn't one use these products in order to aid in weight reduction? 23. I am a huge Fluid drinker during the day. I'm curious as to how thirsty a person would get post op? I mean, if we're only able to sip small amounts during the day, does that mean you're perpetually thirsty?
