  1. Thanks so much, Brandy! The consult went well...the next day I got the news that I, too, have a 6 month waiting period! I was disappointed because it took me 2 years to make the decision and now I'm READY! I'm now going to my regular doctor (1 appt down and 5 to go) and he's 'supervising' a diet (weight watchers) for me. He says hopefully I'll do so well that at the end of the 6 months I won't need the surgery. I just nodded my head and smiled...all the while thinking, 'There's NO way you'll talk me out of this!' Thanks for the support and I'll definitely be in touch! Ann
  2. Hey...the only comorbidity I have is high blood pressure...thank goodness. I had blood work done two weeks ago and everything is fine. I hope that doesn't hurt my chances with the insurance company, though...
  3. Hey, Amanda...sorry I haven't replied...I haven't had much time on the computer! I haven't done anything but read all of these posts on lapbandtalk.com. I go for my first consult tonight (and seminar), so I'm very excited. I've been waiting for 2 years to do this...I have NO idea why I waited, but I have. I guess I was building up the courage. Now the fact that I have to wait 6 more months is daunting! I'll post more and let you know how the seminar and consult went. Thanks for the support...
  4. Hi, Mrs. Griffin! Thanks for the encouragement...I am seeing so many conflicting things on these posts and I'm stressing needlessly and WAY too soon! I go for my first consult on Tuesday the 18th. I have a list of questions for them! I'll let you know what they tell me...how has your process been? Give me your timeline and what you've been up to, ok? Thanks! Annie B.
  5. Hi, Newbie...I'm a 'newbie', too! In fact, I'm beginning to panic! It's taken me almost 2 years to muster up the courage to even make the phone call to the dr's office and now I'm seeing I'll have a SIX MONTH WAIT? I go for my first consultation on Tuesday March 18th...
