  1. Hey Jorge, I am only 6 weeks out and just had my first fill. I too thought about not going for my fill cause I could eat, and I was eating way to much. Then I remembered the reasons for going through the surgery. The need to be healthy is much more desirable for me than to have all the food I want. My Doctor had told me I would likely gain in the time from my surgery to my first fill, so yours is probably not going to be surprised. I'm sure on our journey we are gonna come up wtih lots of excuses and embarresment serves as a good one. The time to go get your fill is NOW!!! The longer you postpone the more weight you are likely to gain and the harder it will be to start over. Every day is a new day that God has given us...so make the call to your surgeon, straighten your shoulders and march in and get your fill. YOu will be right back on track and the weight will come off. Take care and Good luck.
  2. Make sure you are staying hydrated during the day by drinking lots of water between your meals. I to am getting my first fill 6 weeks out and have lost 14 pounds since my surgery, but I can tell that I can eat a little bit more now so in 2 weeks who knows how much I will be able to eat. I just have to trust my Doctor to do what is best for me and so far he hasn't let me down.Good luck!!
  3. I was banded on May 20 and I am olay. Although the nurse called and said it is a very common problem and if I neded to take some milk of magnesia....maybe call your nurse tomorrow and ask for suggestions. Good luck.
  4. I was banded on May 20. I did experience the tightness and the feeling like I needed to belch. My left side is the soreset spot though I haven't taken any pain meds since I left the hopital WED. The walking really helps. Rest when you can and don't push it. This is our time to get used to our new "buddy"! I go back to work tommorow and I'm not ready!!! I have enjoyed my rest time. take care

  10. HI and Congrats to everyone on their banding dates. I am getting my band May 20. YEah:thumbup: It seems I've been waiting for this day forever. I'm excited about my band but a little apperhensive about this 2 week liquid pre diet.
  11. Here is one of my favorites: Guilt Free Chicken 1 pkg skinless boneless chicken breast (3-4 breast) 1 pkg dry onion soup mix 1 pkg Italian Salad dressing mix ( I like the zesty Italian) 1 jar pepperocini with juice Spray crock pot with non-stick spray. Place chicken in crock pot. In a bowl combine dry soup mix and dry italian dressing. mix in juice from pepperocini. Pour mixture over chicken . Place whole pepperocini on top of chicken. Cover and cook on low for 8-9 hours. Chicken will be very tender. Remove pepperocini and set aside. Break chicken apart and let it absorb the sauce. (this happens immediately). serve on light wheat sandwich buns or with rice.
  12. HI Paisley, Good luck on your lap band journey. I am awaitng insurance approval. ALready did my psych eval, lab work, consulatation......everything really except for nutrional counseling which I do on THursday. I'm hoping for a MAY DAY!!:Dancing_wub:
  13. I'm not yet banded but I know we only have two ways to go on the scale...... up or down!!!! Going down is the healthiest choice and will give us freedom from this extra baggage we are carrying. I see you with 2 beautiful children who will enjoy playing and running with their mommy more than you are enjoying those brownies and I bet you will to. I understand , too am afraid of failure but that is because we have tried so hard on our own...the band will be a tool to help us through the times when we couldn't or wouldn't stop on our own. Don't be ashamed we all eat too much or we wouldn't need a band. Hang in there and good luck with whatever you choose.
