One year post surgery pouch reset

Thanks! I haven’t done one yet but I need to clean up my diet for sure. Ive stalled and in fact regained 5 lbs :( I’m only 25 away from my goal and I really wanna get there soon lol
  2. Has anyone tried the pouch reset diet? I’m stalled and feel like I need to reset so I can get my portions back smaller.
  3. Hey ladies! Started at 310 and am at 155-160 now. Had vsg July 25 2017. I was a fairly slow loser and I have plateaued for sure. The first pic was a before from may 16 to March 18. Next pic was heaviest dec 16 and after October 17. Last two were from the last few weeks.
  4. I had my surgery July 25th so I'm like 3.5 months out. My typical day looks like this: Breakfast: microwave scrambled egg with 1 oz turkey, .5 oz shredded cheese and either spinach or tomatoes (totals 1 oz) Lunch: 2 oz chicken or turkey, 1 oz cherry tomatoes, 1 oz carrots and a string cheese Snack: light and fit Greek yogurt Late snack: string cheese and either carrots, tomatoes, snap peas etc (some veggie) 2 oz Dinner: 3 oz chicken and 2 oz broccoli If I have a sweet tooth I will have half of a dole dark chocolate covered banana slices pack. I average about 60-70 g of protein a day and I'm lucky if I get over 800 calories.

NSV's are what keep me motivated!

Any time! It helps me keep on track when I see others progress too. And sometimes it's hard to know where I should be since I only know one other person who had the surgery. Just remember to celebrate the small stuff! And to take it day by day. You'll do great!
  6. I have been trying to revel in these as sometimes the scale may not budge and I want to keep encouraging myself. My NSV this week was having to buy new jeans because I shrank out of all my old ones, and having to get rid of my old dress shirts. I went from a 3/4x to an xl now and 22/24 to 16/17 pants. As a reward this Sunday I'm going to an amusement park with some friends. this will be the first time in years that I have gone and not been afraid of fitting on the rides. What's your NSV's? Please share your successes! Btw here's my most recent update pics
  7. I'm 9 weeks out and have been stalled for over a week. My friends say I look thinner so maybe I'm losing inches but the scale hasn't budged. I eat about 600-800 calories a day, 60-70 g protein and 72 oz of water a day. I exercise 3 to 4 days a week but average about 10k steps a day w/o the gym. I too have the irrational fear that my weight loss is done but then I read the posts and remind myself that the weight will come off, just may take some time. I didn't become obese overnight and I won't be healthy overnight.

    NSV alert!!!

Thank you! It's hard to see much change day to day but that NSV was huge yesterday! I found myself more engaged and friendly in class because I wasn't worrying if everyone was staring at the fat girl in class [emoji16] so excited to continue to watch my body change Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. I am a full time student at msu and I had surgery July 25th. Last fall I struggled to fit in the desks. I had such bad anxiety that I'd have to sit in the back of class, get my seat before the other students came in, and would leave after everyone else. My stomach would press against the desk and hurt. Well I started classes again yesterday and guess what? I fit in the desks no problem, sat in the front of the class and had no anxiety. I had enough space to cross my legs under the desk even.[emoji41] just wanted to share this NSV. The scale hasn't moved much the last 2 weeks but this NSV just brightened my week and kept me going [emoji173] below are my pictures. The top ones are from April and the bottom is last week Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    How much walking?

I started with like 15 min 3x a day and now at almost 2 weeks I'm doing about 3 miles on treadmill and at least 6k steps otherwise but I was really active prior to surgery Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    New here in Colorado

Honestly I feel amazing! I had moderate pain in the hospital but otherwise I've been just taking Tylenol since day 3/4. I'm walking about 2-3 miles a day already and my energy is better than before. I suggest walking before, that seemed to help me to bounce back maybe? Lol. Also I think a lot of it is mind over matter, so just remember the pain is temporary and follow your doctor's orders to the letter. Good luck!! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Hey there! I was sleeved on the 25th by Dr. Metz at Parker hospital. I lost about 40 lbs prior to surgery as well . I also went thru Medicaid for my surgery. Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  13. Day of surgery I was 258.8, next day when I was released I was 266. Today I am 3 days post op and I'm at 261. I am still on full liquids so I'm confused how I haven't lost back to at least my day of surgery weight. Has anyone else had this happen? Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Nose piercing and surgery

I put the retainer in morning of surgery and didn't put the ring back until I got home the next day. I had no issues. They did put a bit of tape over it when I went in for surgery as a just in case. Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app
