  1. I got a green vitamin IV in the hospital the other day, it definitely increases your sense of well being.
  2. Yes, baked Ricotta is an infamous one on this forum that's delicious also.
  3. Don't take offense to suggestions. Seems you were insulted and took it personal. Im confused on someone who does so much research doesn't realize everything on a purée diet is puréed? So I'm suppose to say every food name is suppose be followed by the word purée?
  4. They have had none. I'm the second case ever with the abscess. Btw anything can be puréed with a food processor. Seems you need to do more research past what ur doctors did because I did going in myself.
  5. You do realize NY Bariatric Group does the most surgeries in the country and runs this protocol with everyone? Also it is very common place to be on purée after the surgery.
  6. Misadvising in relation to what?
  7. I'm basically loosing my mind, I meant second session at the hospital. I'm not doing well mentally and just in pain from the procedure in my mid section, they just checked my vitals and I had a low grade fever. I go home Monday with the drain in my abdomen I have for at least a week.
  8. I've had zero pain from eating, zero. This is another common practice, maybe not your physician but I would search on here to see
  9. What's your point? U think I'm worried about a diet while going through all this pain and terribleness sleeping in a hospital and in pain since day 1 where I couldn't walk straight move or function on my own?
  10. So SECOND stint in the hospital. I went to the ER at 10am where the surgeons are located, started running all blood, urine and CT scan. long story short I had a large access in my abdomen that had to be drained and be put on antibiotics. So the pain was awful for the procedure. Like really bad. They drained about a soda can worth of nasty puss fluid. I now have a permanent drain I need to keep in for another week and keep tabs on how many CC's I'm throwing out every time I have to empty the drain. **** smells terrible!! so I'm in the hospital till Sunday then go home with the drain for another week after that. I am beyond frustrated and jacked up on delauden because of the pain. I'm at the point where this surgery was NOT worth it......
  11. My issues have gotten worse. If its not one thing its another. I am just getting extremely frustrated. I have a severe gas pocket trapped for about 4 days now. I went for my check up and she tried to push in the area and I literally started to cry on the table, it was insane. Last night I developed a 101.2 fever and couldn't consumer food for the last two days. My primary care physician is bringing me in to get an IV because I am getting a lot of dehydrated symptoms. I am beating the 64 ounces of water a day too. I am at the point that this was overall NOT worth the surgery.......beyond frustrated.....

  13. I was in this exact situation. I was thinking am I going to put in all this effort and then just get denied. Plus it took me a full 6 months before they are able to put in for approval. Matters how many weigh in months the insurance company requires before they can submit for approval. I had to do 6 months of weigh ins plus see a million other doctors for approvals before they are actually able to put in the request from the insurance company, so you won't know right until the end. The good news is, even if you get denied the first time, I have yet to hear of anyone that wasn't approved right away after challenging it. I ate like a friggin beast too because I didn't want to lose weight and them come back and say hey you don't need the surgery. I ate everything and anything for the longest time, I gained weight for the weigh in months period. I had so much anxiety and also depression saying am I doing the right thing because I had to maintain my high weight level which was very uncomfortable for me. I had trouble just doing daily activities which sucked. Also it doesn't put you in a healthy mindset because you can't really go on a healthy fitness routine and lose a lot of weight for the 6 moths if you want the surgery. So its kind of a mental battle and frustration...... Hang in there, it will be surgery time before you know it....
  14. I was definitely Anti Social prior to surgery for the 6 months. I didn't go out barely ever except functions for friends and family. Now I am only 4 days post op but consistently dropping weight and looking forward to being more agile. I never felt comfortable at my high weight and was definitely embarrassed of myself and for letting myself get that big. I also noticed in just a ~30lb weight change how strangers respond to you in a more positive direction. I am just focusing all my effort towards maximizing my surgery and bettering my life for the long term and being less worried about others. Also this process definitely points out people who really care about people and maybe friendships or family members you may become closer with after this surgery.
  15. First day weighing myself, I was 307lbs today from 330lbs. Thats liquid diet and 2 1/2 days post op. Is that the normal average for loss during this period?
