What Is Your Favorite Healthy Food Discovery?

I'm interested in seeing replies to this. I am currently in the puréed phase of the post op diet and have been contemplating what I am going to start eating when I get to move to solids.
  2. Great post! Thank you for posting pictures. It's always such an inspiration to see the changes physically instead of just looking at numbers. Congratulations on your loss so far and good luck with the rest of your journey!

    Post op pain

I had sleeve surgery and I had the same issue for about 10 days post op. Each day felt a little better but it was still painful. Hang in there it will get better!

    No Energy anymore

I'm still early in my journey but I have problems in the afternoon/evening with the energy also. I'm only 4 weeks out of surgery so I was hoping it gets better.
  6. I'm having somewhat of the same problem. I was sleeved 1/31/17. I've lost almost 30 pounds and I don't really notice a difference in my clothes. I can tell by looking in the mirror that I've slimmed in my upper body but my stomach and legs are still the same. Some of my jeans fit a little looser in the thighs but still pretty much the same around the waist. I just keep waiting, I know i will get there soon. Hang in there!!
  7. Congratulations! I wish you the best of luck

    Help, I have a leak

Just wanted you to know you are in my thoughts and prayers
  12. I know I have read several people have stalls in the beginning so I somewhat expected it but it's not fun! I weigh myself every morning in hopes that the number went down even just a couple ounces. I had my sleeve Jan 31 I lost 10lb pre op and 9.6 lb the first week post op. The 2nd week I lost 2 more lbs the first day and now 5 days at the same exact weight. I'm trying not to get discouraged though! All this excess weight didn't come on overnight so i shouldn't expect it to all come off overnight.

    Stalling....[emoji20]

Well after 5 days the scale finally went down!! Yay!! I just tried focusing on making sure I met my protein goal and plenty of fluids. I had previously had issues getting 64 oz in per day. Trying really hard to do better at that.

    Losing pounds

I am almost 2 weeks post op and I have lost 12# since surgery and 10# in the pre-op phase but I am at a stall now and I have not seen the scale move in 5 days. Even after losing 22# so far I haven't really noticed a difference in my appearance or the way my clothes fit.

    Stalling....[emoji20]

Thanks SuperDave!! Just curious when you had stalls in the beginning how long do they usually last? I will be 2 weeks post op on Tuesday and I will get to move on to puréed foods. I've been at a stall for 5 days.

    In pain. Worried. Please help!

I am having a similar issue. I was also sleeved on 1/31. Does the pain get better when you are sitting or laying down? Mine hurts when going from sitting to standing and also if I make certain movements too fast. It sometimes hurts so bad it paralyzes me for a minute. It sometimes even hurts to breath. I called my dr and he said that it is just the stitches pulling from the muscle. It is completely normal and I should not be worried because it is fine. He said it will eventually go away. I'm sure hoping it goes away soon cuz I don't deal well with pain. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. I hit my one week post-op yesterday. So far I have been tolerating liquids well. I haven't been nauseous but once or twice. I hadn't had much pain until today. My son pushed me last night in the stomach and I was hurting today. I also started back to work yesterday so I'm really hoping the pain was from work and not because my son pushed me. If it gets worse I'm going to have to go see the dr. I hope it didn't mess anything up inside. So far I have lost 9.6 pounds. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. I was just wondering if anyone was still having any pain over a week out of surgery. In the beginning I was doing well and was only having pain when I went from laying or sitting to standing. Then that even got to where I could tolerate it by day 6. But I went back to work which is a desk job on day 7 and I started doing more stuff around the house. Still only doing liquids but I keep having pains in my right side. It's not a constant pain but it's enough I want pain meds. I'm just afraid that I messed something up. Constipation

My Dr recommended taking a daily probiotic plus add benefiber to protein shakes. Then if I still have trouble take a stool softener. I'm only one week out but havnt had constipation yet so I don't know for sure what works best. This is just what my dr said to do if I had issues. Hope you find a resolution!
