    2 weeks post op

That's fantastic! Tomorrow marks two weeks for me too. I'm down 35 pounds from my highest weight and 11 pounds since surgery. My diet advances tomorrow. I'll find out what I can actually have at my nutrition class tomorrow. My program doesn't give diet information ahead of time, which is a bummer because I like to plan ahead.

    October 16 sleevers

I'm feeling good! I can do the stairs to and from my apartment pretty comfortably now. I'm living off of water, crystal light, protein shakes (which I'm getting really sick of), and greek yogurt. Tonight, I'm having cream of tomato soup! My mothing in law made it for me and she said she took special care blending it to make sure there are no chunks.
  3. I am so glad to see this thread! I'm still in the liquids phase but am remembering when I was on various weight loss plans in the past and they pushed fat free dairy products as the best choice. I never particularly liked them but ate them anyway because I was told I should. I've been starting to think about what I'm going to do when I can eat again and if I should go fat-free. I think this thread has convinced me not to.
  4. I live near Boston and just get mine on Amazon. They're good for when I need the protein but don't want a shake.

    Emotional crying already?

I had my surgery on Monday, October 16 and I had a really weepy, feeling sorry for myself day yesterday. Not regret, I don't regret this at all. My anxiety has been running high as well. From what I've read, I've got more of this too look forward to?

    Nsaids

When I was discharged from the hospital, the doctor told me to alternate Tylenol and Ibuprofen to manage the pain but to get off the Ibuprofen as soon as I felt I didn't need it. I'm actually hoping to get off it today.
  7. Anyone else's stomach sound like there's a wookie in there after having one of the protein shakes? Thinking of naming my stomach Chewbacca. I've got some abdominal pain too. Feels like it's mostly muscular though. The incisions don't hurt.
  8. Everything went well. I'm just a little sore. Seems like I'll get to go home today though. Sent from my SCH-I545 using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. I just took my Xanax so I'll be sleepy soon. Getting up at like 3:30 to get showered and ready to go.

    MA Area Sleevers?!?!

Salem, MA here! Surgery is at MGH.
  11. I'm drinking those too! Husband and I just finished cleaning the apartment so I can actually relax when I get home Tuesday afternoon.
  12. I need to be at the hospital by 5:45 tomorrow morning! I'm Dr. Hutter's first case. Anyone else just on clear liquids today?
  13. I'm really excited! Also nervous. My check-in is at 5:45 am. I am Dr. Hutter's first case Monday morning. I'm so ready for this change! Although I'm not too excited about being on clear liquids on Sunday.
  14. As I type this, I am on my way to my final pre-op appointment with my surgeon and my surgery is on Monday. Ladies and gentlemen, I have been researching this for a few years. I know what to expect. I've followed my pre-op diet to the letter and I've even lost some weight. So why on earth am I so nervous right now? My heart feels like it's going to beat out of my chest. Why am I so nervous?

Thank you for the support! My appointment went well. The surgeon assured and reassured me that the I'm feeling is completely normal. I also met 2 of his patients that h!ad had surgery just last week. They also helped a lot! They told me how well their procedures went and sort of what to expect, although that part was a little different because they had gastric bypass and I'm getting the sleeve. Anyway, I'm feeling a lot better. Thank you!!

    Hobbies?

Knitting is one hobby for me that keeps me out of food. I can't eat if my hands are busy! It's also kind of meditative, so it's good for me when I'm feeling anxious or panicky (which is like....75% of the time). I'm also starting an Etsy shop to sell some of the things I make.
  19. Mine's October 16th in Boston. I'm halfway through my pre-op diet now. I'm not having as hard a time as I thought I would, but I can also eat. Only things I can't have are starches, caffeine (ok that one is hard), carbonated beverages (even harder than the caffeine), and alcohol.

    Food craving pre-op

So, I am on my 2-week pre-op diet. Lucky for me it is not liquids. It's high protein and low carb. Check out the Skinny Taste blog. They have great high protein low carb options for pretty much anything you might be craving. Every recipe I've made from this website has turned out well.
  21. Getting sleeved on October 16th! Started my pre-op liver reduction diet a couple days ago.
