  1. well I'm kind of hoping that if he gives me 1/2 cc that I can only eat 1/4 cup a food twice a day...at least right away....as it seems that I have really awesome restriction right away and then it just sort goes down hill from there lol...

Yes babe you are too tight I found out the hard way, if u can't keep liquids down get some of the fill out..

  2. Well I will say that once i got up to 7cc's i started working out 5-days a wwk at least 30-min a day... if you are not working out do something.. once i started working out the weight started coming off like crazy... but if you are still hungry and eating more than normal i cant see why you cant get a fill... but i have 9 in a 10cc band and im doing great..

  3. K so I haven't been losing the most, but I also haven't been eating the best, though the amount seems a little much to me. How much are you guys able to eat? I'm able to eat a full meal in about 10 minutes and it's probably a 1/2 cup full. I get a little hungry after an hour.

I would ask my doctor but I'm afraid he'll be too aggressive...as he puts in 2 to 3 cc's at a time. I'm at 7cc in an 10cc VG band. I think I'm pretty close but...I'd like some advice on this...

I would think because you have 7cc's now he should only add about .5cc's because if he adds a full cc you wont be able to keep any food down at all.. but if you try it then that should start you back at loosing weight. I Will be honest with you. I should be about 9cc's and the last time i got a fill was in march or either early april lol.. but he only put 1/2cc and i could only eat 1/4 cup of food poss. 2x's a day if that much i wasent hungry at all but thats not a good thing... i have loosened up since and feel great but if he fills you and you are too full let him know....

  4. I think a small fill and a bit of exercise will knock you off that plateau. OR, you may need to increase your calories a bit. I have been pretty much stalled for almost two months and finally increased my calories by about 500 a day and I am losing again. I was not really even hitting 1000 per day and now I am doing well again.

    Perhaps give that a try.

I was just going to say that it sounds like you neek a fill. I wish i could eat 1/2 of anything lol nope not going too happen... lol anyhoo this is the time that you would go in to get a fill is when your weight loss stalls... just like mine was i was stuck for like 3-weeks and i made an apt. got a fill and i have lost over 11 lbs in 2 weeks.. but another thing i have been walking or doing the stair master, or elliptical on my lunch break for the past 4mths and when i say that the weight will melt off like the other post says it WILL TRUST ME....

  5. I promise i had to check to make sure that i was not reading something that i had wrote... you are so right... i was kind of loosing hope i was taking diet pills because i was so hungry. I think i have about 9.25 or either 9.5cc in my band and i shouldnt need another fill for a long time from now.....lol i lost 6lbs in less than 5days my last fill was on tuesday i will say hold on to anyone you will see the light...

  6. I agree it really is just know to take one day at a time.. Things will seem to go great in the beg. because you cant eat much of anything, but when you start to eat real food the weight loss may slow up a little but dont get sad just keep pushing.. and one thing i will tell you if you want to see quick and regular weight loss start doing some form of excercise at least 5days a week and you will be unstoppable... Congratulations and keep up the great work

  7. You know I use to say the same thing until i actually started workingout. I workout on my lunch at work 30min 5days a week and i have been doing this for the past 14weeks and the weight is melting off... i am kind of pissed at myself because i could have been working out before but i thought just being banded would be enough no matter what i read and no matter what i was told... if you are not excercising start now... something is better than nothing it is getting nice out so just take a nice walk for about 30min and trust you will see the diffrence..

  8. You know what when you first have your band put in you mainly have to rely on your own willpower for the first 4-6months and that is no lie... you will have no restriction after the first 2 fills depending on how much is put in i know i didnt. I was banded may 15th and i felt the first time i felt real restriction was in december of 08. Slow and steady wins the race...at least you didnt have a lemon parfait to go with it and 2 wings..

  9. I am probably going to have the surgery mid-April and I'm still struggling with the thought of losing my relationship with food. I have dealt with all the issues with my emotional eating in therapy over the past few years. I know my triggers. I know why I do it. I don't want to live this way anymore, but somehow I still feel afraid of losing it. I guess it's been such a big part of my life for so long that the thought of it being gone is scary. I know it's killing me and I know the dependence on food has been a bad thing, but it's still hard to face the fact that it will no longer be an option. Plus I am so afraid of failing! Has anyone else felt this way?

If anyone has any thoughts on this, I would be very appreciative if you would share them with me.

Yes..i have been there... I was told that once i get to the proper restriction i would not be able to eat that many carbs.. which i love mac & cheese, breads etc... for the first 6mths i was like ahhhhh i can still eat it.. but now hell no!! the most i can tolerate is like 1-spoon of mac and cheese and no breads at all... you will get there where you will feel like you have lost your best friend but this friend i don't mind being without....

  10. My band didn't really start working for me until i had at least 7.5cc's in it... so you will have to rely on your own will power for a little while, because you will be able to eat most of what you ate before until you get to the proper restriction...
