  4. Stopping blood pressure meds. Not having to sleep with a Cpap (hopefully) No longer needing Viagra No more constant back and knee pain. Playing with my kids. Not being embarrassed by my size. Not worrying if a chair can support me. Lifting again. Depression will lessen. *these are in no particular order of importance* Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

  8. Yeah, I just changed them. It won't lock onto a weight. It keeps fluctuating the numbers and never stops on one. So frustrating. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. My doctor requires a two week low carb diet to shrink the liver. Then clear liquids for two days before surgery. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  10. Hello, Can anyone recommend a scale that can handle over 450 pounds? I have a Taylor scale right now and I cannot get an accurate reading. It says it can handle 450 pounds but it doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions on a good brand? Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. I have two I would like to get covered, once I have lost the weight. I would say it would be best to wait until you have reached goal weight before you get any work done. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. Totally, the original picture still creeps me out [emoji12][emoji12][emoji12] Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  13. The same thing happened to my wife. She was supposed to get surgery next month. She was working with a dietician and naturopathic doctor for 3 months before she went to see the WLS team. These visits with the naturopathic were supposed to count towards the six months. However, one month she didn't weigh in, so it messed up the time frame. So now she has to see WLS two more times before surgery. She was heart broken. She cried and cried. I have tried to encourage her, but she was very upset. Don't get discouraged. Just stay focused and keep working towards your goal. This is just a minor set back. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

  19. Thank you for that example. That sounds like it would be difficult. Then again, I have not had the surgery yet. Do you spend a lot of time meal prepping? How much total weight have you lost? Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  20. Dude, get it now. Enjoy the best years of your life. The amount of weight you need to lose, while not impossible, will be incredibly difficult. I am 38, I currently weigh 420 pounds. When I was 21 I weighed 225 I now suffer from high blood pressure and sleep apnea and fatty liver disease. My body hurts constantly. My back hurts constantly. I have depression issues. I can't be active with my kids. I am on track to get surgery in July or August. Get it done now and enjoy your life. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  21. Just watched the new video. Really good. You are right, being obese is selfish. We are essentially choosing food and feeding our food addiction over our family and loved ones. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  22. This is exactly how I feel. I have HBP, sleep apnea, Fatty Liver Disease, depression, chronic fatigue, chronic back and knee pain. My body simply can't handle the weight. I am 38 years old and have a 5 year old and a 3 year old. I have to get the weight off before it kills me. My surgery will hopefully be late July or early August. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  23. I hope I don't die before the six months waiting period is up. If I do die, will someone please champion a movement to get a law passed that states insurance companies can no longer require a six month waiting period? I would really appreciate it. 24. Sorry, I didn't realize this thread was in the ladies only forum. My apologies.
  25. My surgeon has not mentioned that I will need to crush pills, then again I haven't asked. I take meds for depression and OCD and high blood pressure. Ask your surgeon as to what you are supposed to do.
