  3. Don't worry. Im bipolar and have ocd, I had no problems. Im sure the drs understand that we all can be depressed because of our weight, pain from being overweight , etc. Im sure they know most people overweight have these problems and it shouldn't stop him from approving the surgery. I have one evaluation left...my dr requires 2. Hang in there and be positive Sent from my LGL62VL using the BariatricPal App
  4. I just had mine last week. Nothing to it. Basically he asks you some questions concerning your weight history. It probably won't take 20 minutes. After the talk you have to answer a booklet of questions. Turn it into the front desk and leave. Sent from my LGL62VL using the BariatricPal App
  5. Thanks that makes me feel better Sent from my LGL62VL using the BariatricPal App
  6. I'm having my surgery at Roanoke with Dr. Salzberg. He is in the same office with Dr. Lucktong. Haven't got a date for surgery yet but i will have finished all of the tests you have to have done in march so I figure it will be April or may .
  7. I'm with you all, I'm scared too. But what I'm more scared about is living my life the way I am now. I'm in constant pain especially in my back and hips. I had to have a stent put in last year, that scared the crap out of me. I want to be able to play more with my grandkids and be my old self, not the person I am now who's so tired all of the time. I stay depressed all the time because I look so bad and feel so bad. I love clothes and y'all know how hard it is to find clothes that fit and I have always liked to dress up. I love high heels but cant wear them because my back hurts so bad. I just want to be normal again. Im 46 and weigh 246. I'm 5ft tall. I try not to think about the negative and focus on all of the positive things that comes from weight loss. Hopefully having my surgery in April or may. Just pray and have faith. 9. Hey everybody I haven't had my surgery yet but Ive been reading all of your stories and I am very encouraged by them. Im excited and scared at the same time. I met a lady at my dr office the other day who had wls and of course I had a million questions to ask her. She was sweet enough to answer them all. She was wearing a fitness tracker and she said it helps keep her on track. She can keep track of her progress and set reminders so she doesn't forget to eat and drink on schedule. I'm going to get one but not quite sure which brand would be best for me. Like the idiot that I am I forgot to ask her the brand she had...I was so excited about the things she was telling me and about her sucess. I'm hoping that someone here can help me decide. Any suggestions ? Sent from my LGL62VL using the BariatricPal App

  18. Hi this is my first post. I started on my journey October 5, 2016. Im probably having my surgery around end of April - beginning of May. I still have some tests to do and I have to see the Bariatric Psychiatrist 2 times before surgery. Then my dr will give me a date for surgery. Im so excited and scared at the same time. My dr hasn't put me on a diet yet but id like to start now. Can anyone suggest a preop diet that isnt liquid? The only thing I have found are the liquid diets that are 3-4 weeks prior to surgery.
