    Pre-Op Diet

Hi, my surgeon told 4 of us that we didn't need to do a pre-op diet. He was just like don't gain any weight or our surgery will be pushed back. Our diet program is also very different. We are on clear liquids for 2 days and boom puree, feels a little fast but the Nutritionist said she doesn't want us on liquids too long because there's not that much nutrition. June Date Finally! Anyone Else?

Woohoo...June 20th here also Sent from my LGLS770 using Tapatalk
  7. That's what I've been hearing, a lovely woman I met yesterday told me that, with the sleeve it's a lot easier to gain all the weight back, and I'm not looking at this as a short term goal. I want to be realistic and I want to keep the weight off. I know I'm going to have to work, just like you said I don't want to have a revision. Is it a good idea to ask if they could remove my gallbladder? I know some people do good on the sleeve, but me I know my weakness which is sweets and fats (been cutting it out). I don't want to be an idiot and see the progress, and end up slipping. Sent from my LGLS770 using Tapatalk
  8. Thank you! I guess I will stick with it [emoji5] was a bit hesitant after a talk with some amazing people that had RNY. I love everything about the sleeve, it's just I over think things. Sent from my LGLS770 using Tapatalk
  9. Thank you everyone for the support on the steps! Sucked it up and pulled through it and all the hard work paid off. Yesterday I was approved for surgery and have to meet with my surgeon. They want to do surgery by the end of this month or in June. I'm excited and scared at the same time. They are talking about doing the sleeve if I don't agree it'll be RNY. I know everyone's outcome is different. I just want a procedure where I'll be successful in. I would love to lose about 90lbs, it's just will this procedure be effective for me. I know RNY is really invasive, and a lot of people is recommending it. Right now I'm 210 and I'm 4'7....so I'm still a bit indecisive lol. Anyways THANK YOU everyone for the [emoji173] and support I really needed it and y'all came through!! Sent from my LGLS770 using Tapatalk
  10. I have suffered with depression/self harm and it's really weird! People would think that after my accident I would jump right back into it. But honestly I feel that my accident is a blessing in disguise. I wasn't able to live my life, due to family issues. Once I got injured, it opened up my eyes and made me hungry to live my life. That's why I'm striving to better my health. I was a passive person that was taken advantaged of, and now I'm more assertive and stand up for myself....lol I'm just loving life. It's just I feel the psych needs to be realistic. I passed her psych eval, and is continually losing weight, so what is the hold up. Sent from my LGLS770 using Tapatalk
  11. I had to answer a ton of questions also and my psychologist said that I passed, and that I am mentally ready to make a change. But the steps is getting me lol Sent from my LGLS770 using Tapatalk
  12. Since joining the bariatric program I've been losing weight...I know 17lbs isn't a lot, at least I'm trying. For me there was no discussion about trying to lose weight the main focus was me complying with eating 45-65g of protein and keeping a food log, sleep apnea, and doing the 5000 steps.

    Gatorade G2?

Your welcome, do you have a water infuser? There are big pitcher ones for the fridge and cute portable ones. Sent from my LGLS770 using Tapatalk

    Gatorade G2?

My nutritionist also told me I was allowed to drink it. It still has sugar, just not as much as the regular. Powerade Zero is awesome! No sugar and great flavors. I also go to Wal-Mart and buy sugar-free juice packets...there's a bunch of varieties. I personally love the hawaiian punch and crush flavors. Oh and Costco has this drink that is similar to vitamin water and sugar-free also Sent from my LGLS770 using Tapatalk
  15. Hi I also don't have diabetes, but my PCOS is really bad. It's frustrating for me because my doctors tend to dismiss my PCOS and I haven't received treatment for it. What helped me lose weight was cutting out sugary drinks, if you're addicted to sugary drinks, go for sugar-free. I also did my best to follow the diet the program gave me. Sweets are my weakness, and once I gradually cut it out, I noticed a lb drop here and there. Sent from my LGLS770 using Tapatalk
