OMG, thank you for this comment! I'm 9 days out and I've been driving myself crazy because everyone says not to count calories, just try to meet liquid and Protein goals and stop when you are full. But I never feel full! I ate 900 calories yesterday and even tried some cheese (tiny bites - very well chewed - applesauce consistency) since people keep saying I'll feel full once I'm on solids. I track every single thing I eat or drink: calories, liquids, Protein, fat, sugars, Fiber, other carbs; but I don't know how many calories is enough and how many is too many. My surgeon says not to count calories, but I'm going to have to set a limit somewhere or all of this pain will be for nothing.

You just might not recognize your full feeling. Mine is indigestion. I get a burning sensation in the back of my throat with both food and liquid and I know I need to stop. My stomach doesnt hurt nor do I feel stuffed. So now, when it gets close to that feeling I know to push them away.

I was so glad I was able to drink a lot after the first few days. I loved drinking lots of Water pre op and was worried I wouldn't be able to afterwards. You are very lucky, as was I, to be able to get all your fluids in without issues so early on.

I had the same thing and asked the doc what it was. It's louder when I haven't eaten in awhile or ate something my tummy is struggling to get down. He said it's not hunger but the sound of digestive juices. It's normal and loudest on an empty stomach. However, I do get hungry when I go too long without Protein, especially when working out. I get tired super fast and sometimes even dizzy. So you are completely normal! I noticed it stopped making so many noises when I could eat solid foods again.

I'm about 22 days post op and I have the same thing. It's like a growl/gurgling situation. A friend told me it could be gas build up but I'm really not sure.

****OFFICALLY WEIGHED IN AT THE SMALLEST WEIGHT I'VE EVER BEEN MY ADULT LIFE!!!**** I had to all caps that because one its super exciting and two.. Its my birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!! I'm 25 today. I always told myself I would be where I wanted to be in life before 25 but go figure.. Didnt happen but I'm feeling wonderful and I have a wonderful life! Before surgery I weighed 276. When I went home 3 days later I weighed 286. Also.. today I'm 1 week post op!! Ive learned not to be ashamed of the numbers on the scale because it doesn't defined me as a person. I'm working towards new things and couldn't be more HAPPY!! Sorry if I'm over excited but my birthday is always a good one and all this excitement together is too much goodness. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!! I post everything and all updates on my Instagram if you want to follow my story!!

I had to wait 6 months but had a appointment every month with my weightloss doctors. It flew by! In the beginning it felt like this is going to be forever. I kept myself busy and did what I had to do. I was happy it wasn't 9 months like some people had to wait! I lost 40lbs in 6 months. They didn't tell me I had to lose in order to get the surgery. They wanted to make lifestyle changes and that lead me to losing weight. Now I'm almost 2 weeks post op with the sleeve and I love it!!
