  1. I had my surgery on 12/12/16. The first week was rough. On Christmas Day at my daughter's house for dinner I ate a couple bites of ham and knew I could'nt tolerant so I had brought egg drop Soup which has been one of my favorite things. I also brought sugar free pudding to eat when everyone was having dessert. It's now been almost a month since surgery and I able to eat scrambled eggs with cheese, tuna with light mayo. 3-4 ounces of roasted chicken, white Parmesan fish and of course I'm still eating the egg drop Soup, delicious! I loss 14 pounds before surgery and 13 pounds after surgery. Also taking my Multivitamins, B12, Calcium with Vitamin D and Biotin.

  2. Like the comment about infant stomach that's exactly what I compare my new self to. I am training myself to eat correctly and right amounts. Your new stomach can hold only about 2-4 ounces of food each meal. No drinking anything at least 30 minutes before or 30 minutes after. You will fill up with liquid and not get the Protein you need. My diet was no caffeine, alcohol, sugar, carbs. Just Water and Protein.

  3. I had my VGS on 12/12. It took me 2 1/2 weeks before I was able to get all my fluids and Protein in. Try to keep a record of everything that goes in your mouth. My weight loss team gave me a book that had a flow sheet that I could write down everything. Also walking is good. I saw my Dr at 23 days post-op and she wants me to do Yoga or Strength training or riding a bike. Something to tone and build muscle and increase endorphins. She says no limitations now.
