Don't be discouraged. I had my surgery on 12/26. So 10 days ago. I had gas pains, but they weren't so bad that I was feeling like I was going to perish. The more you walk the easier and better the gas pains feel. WALK! WALK! WALK! After my surgery I slept off my anesthesia and instantly got up to walk.
