  4. Sorry haven't been back here for a while. I am doing much better, blasting through the full liquids and tempting the purred stage. I am mostly eating the full liquids and puréed soups. Premier shakes for my protein. I will try cottage cheese today. What are your best protein foods you like? Hope your well.
  5. Thanks ice is what I am using, the doctor said I had a large hematoma which would be blood loss wether that or the fact my blood pressure dropped that made me dizzy. The dizziness has past thankfully. I just feel drained I know it will get better but yikes!! I am looking forward to full liquid lol
  6. Glad to hear that it goes away. Did you use ice or heat on it? Glad you are doing better.
  7. Hi all, I had my sleeve done 6/22 I am very swollen on my right side and hip. Pain is minimal. I am sipping sipping, just very tired but I had some blood loss and I am tired I am taking iron and should feel better. I was very dizzy after surgery so my contrast got delayed. Oh by the way I am 67. It is nerving making sure I don't drink too much. Just a process and learning curve. Wishing you all the best.

  17. Congratulations sounds like your doing great. I have 3 more days until surgery I can't wait.
  18. My husband has been cooking for himself since I started this. Sometimes the food just smells so good I need nose clamps. It is tough just hang on we can do it!!
  19. So far it is ok drinking a lot of water and sugar free jello I feel full, but there are some egg rolls in the freezer calling my name lol I told my hubby to please eat them. I would say day one has been a success good luck everyone we can do it....
  20. I am on my first day of my liver shrink diet. The Doctor provided optifast shakes and I have Five a day they each have 20 carbs that's 100 a day. Really strange how doctors differ on this diet..

  23. Sounds like great advice. Pre making the broth is such a good idea definitely going to do that. Totally agree learning from each other it is such a new ball game to be joining. I will appreciate any help I can get. Good luck on your continued success. Communication is good. Have a great day.
  24. Happy Birthday!! Congratulations on your success so far. It will be an interesting journey for sure. I am so looking to buy clothes in a regular store. I start my liquids for 2 weeks on the 8th that will be killer but I am sure worth it.
  25. Hi, I am 67, just got my date for sleeve June 22!! So excited yet nervous. I have heard people my age have great results.

  29. I have done all the required but I have asked for a cardio work up to make sure I don't have unknown heart issues having that done next week I am thinking June or July hopefully my sugar is way high and want to nip that quick as possible. Have you seen a surgeon yet to go over options?
  30. My Doctor seems to have no concerns. I am going to have the sleeve. However I have concerns. I have never had any surgeries, other than being heavy I have been healthy. So the whole being put under scares me. I have recently been diagnosed with arthritis and sleep apnea and getting the weight off will be a plus, also borderline diabetic so out weighing what the future could hold I am going for the surgery. Through my research I am finding that the over sixty manage just as well as younger people. Living here in Florida I want to enjoy my retirement so looking forward to this new journey. Wish you luck on your disicion.
  31. This it I think I am 67 pre surgery.
  32. You sound like your doing all the right things. So glad to hear your doing well. So very exciting a whole new journey to a healthy body so well worth.
