Gastric sleeve post op please help
Sorry I havent had the surgery yet, but I was wondering if you started taking Multivitamins yet? I would imagine the bruising may be from a lack if Iron. Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App

First Appointment!
My first appointment was a weight in, a review of my medical history, going over insurance coverage, and a meeting with the surgeon and nutrionist. I have to do the 6mos diet for insurance approval. I just completed the 4th appointment, so they are projected April or May for my surgery. I would suggest getting a list of questions to ask before you arrive. If you told anyone that you are having the surgery and if they will be there to help you through recovery, see if they can attend the appointment with you. Here's your sign...
Sounds funny but from a male point of view quite different. Yeah when your clothes has given up on you, its time. Who wants to keep buying bigger sizes. Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App

Surgery aborted
Maybe perhaps the sleeve or band may be a better option since it supposed to be less invasive. Set your mind at ease and realize you still have options and in any case they will all be tough, but you know you can get through it! Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App

pre-approval evaluation process
I just had my 4th appointment last week, so 2 more to go. My nurse just weighs me and has never asked to wear certain clothing. I also try to wear the same, Tshirt and gym shorts and I always take off my shoes. I just do it to be consistent. So there's the psych test, cardio test and perhaps sleep test. Is it true?
My surgeon asked me which procedure I wanted, so I natural went with the sleeve as it is the most popular. I was told that the sleeve is less invasive and has lower risk for complications. In addition I believe the recovery is alot quicker. I know the sleeve surgery is about an hour long, not sure if the bypass is just only 30mins longer. I know people who had each type if surgery, some succeeded some didn't. In all the one's who failed was because the had the same mindset as before and did not change their eating habits. They ate less because they had no choice but they ate most of the same food. Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App

Complications
I sometimes think about the complications and risk but I look at my quality of life right now and believe its worth it. I cant even imagine what quality of life I will have in 5years if I dont have the surgery. Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App

What was your first appointment like with your surgeon?
About the same as clc9. My surgeon ask which procedure I wanted. He looked at my weight history and body frame and felt strongly about the weight I should reach. I didnt have alot of questions at first because I read so much online, but at each appointment I have at least several questions to ask. I would suggest scheduling your future appointments if you have to do the 6mos diet for insurance approval. Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App

Final pre-op appointment question
Hey, question.. why wouldn't they automatically suck out the Co2. I read how so many have pain from it, you would think that would be routine. Am I missing something....Im going to ask my surgeon on my next appointment Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App
