2 weeks no weight loss. GAINED.
Is your digestive tract doing what it's suppose to do, or is it being slow? Your losing fat, but gaining muscle. Your body's going to do what it's going to do. Don't flip out, because it will just make you stress. Know you are doing the right things and wait it out. Your body just has to recalibrate. Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App

Does taking Biotin before surgery reduce hair loss?
I've been taking Biotin for a couple of years because I lost hair during a rapid weight loss program at that time. I haven't noticed losing any more hair after surgery, or during any weight loss this go around. Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App

Female Topic: Any Help?
Have you had a pap smear since surgery? You may want to have your hormone levels checked. I know they go whacky after WLS. Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App

Signs of a stretched sleeve
If you can only hold 4 ounces, your sleeve has not stretched. My doc said the sleeve can't stretch (or not to a vast degree) because the stretchy part of the stomach was cut away. Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App

Lapband to Sleeve.. not losing weight now
I'm a month out and in the same predicament. Mine wasn't a revision, so I'm really discouraged. At two weeks the scale hadn't moved at all. The last two and a half weeks I've been going to the gym three times a week and I'm on soft Proteins. That's when the ten pounds have come off. Then again, I'm having issues with my gallbladder now, so... Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App

Anyone lose their gallbladder after surgery?
It seems as though my gallbladder doesn't want to be friendly any longer. My one month post-op bloodwork showed my bilirubin high. I have some pain, but nausea and gas are the main complaints. I'm being scheduled for an ultrasound, but it sounds like I'll be going under the knife again soon. Has anyone else had this happen so soon after being sleeved? Getting Discouraged
Cut the carbs. The only way you will lose weight is if your body uses your stored fat as energy. You are feeding it carbs, so it doesn't have to burn fat. Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App

Sleeved 1/11/17 help/emotional
You're supposed to be getting at least twice that amount of protein! No wonder you're hungry! Emotional huricanes are common within the first month. Your body parts changed and the hormones are trying to find their new correct levels. Don't be surprised by break through bleeding, too. Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App

stalls why the hell wont the scale do what i say!
I've only lost 10 pound in the month following surgery, but everyone has noticed "weight loss". Talk about a scale not moving, and becoming discouraged! I have a fear I've manged my body permanently over a whopping 10 pounds, when I lost 35 on my own in 2.5 months before surgery. Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App

Messed up already?
I could drink larger amounts of liquid at first, also. I thought I may be an anamoly. The further out I get, the less I can drink at one time. Don't worry, you're perfectly normal. Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App

Omaha, Nebraska[emoji535]
I'm not a Cornhusker (more of a Cyclone), and I had my surgery on 12/22, but if you have any questions, I had my classes and surgery in Omaha. Have you decided on where you're having and who is doing your surgery? Do you need to jump through all the hoops yet, or are you through some of them already? Stopping liquid stage.
They have these diet stages for a reason. If food gets stuck on a staple, infection could lead to a leak, which could lead to spesis and death. It's happened. Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App

Primary Care
Post op would be done by the surgeon, but what I meant above was long term continued primary care. My primary care doctor should be aware of how to treat a patient that has undergone bariatric surgery (i.e. certain medications to avoid long term post-op, what Vitamin supplements are taken, etc.). I totally agree with you. The bariatric surgeon should sent their information to your PC.My PC and surgeon are with the same management group, so everything is seamless for me. All notes taken by one can be seen by the other when they bring upy digital chart. Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App

eating too much
You can't stretch your stomach on a sleeve. The portion of stomach that was a little elastic was removed. You're washing the food through and allowing the calories to mount up. That's the reason you can eat more and you're gaining. Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App
