    PCP Letter

How long ago was the bloodwork done? Pre-op physicals need bloodwork because the anesthesiologist needs to now what's in your system to set the knock-out drugs correctly. Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App
  2. You can't really call it a stall if you haven't even started. I'm two weeks post, haven't been released for the gym yet, my BMI is still above 50, and haven't lost a damn pound. Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App

I don't think one full slice will even fit... Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App
  4. My stomach isn't telling me when it's hungry untill it's too late, and I get sick. I've been going by the clock to avoid vomiting. Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App

    Primary Care

Post op should be done by the surgeon. I guess I was lucky the group my doctor and surgeon are affiliated with has its own medical weight loss office which helps those who are going through the bariatric process. Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App

ASK ABOUT THE VEGO! It's a disposable insulin pump you change each day. Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App

    Boxed Water Is Better!

My pocketbook can't handle paying $1.99 for a quart of Water from cardboard versus $0.87 for a gallon from plastic. Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App

    17 Days post-op

I get sick when I get over hungry. My stomach only growls when I eat. I don't get hunger pains anymore, so I have to watch the clock like a hawk if I don't want to wretch. Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App
  10. I was going through the process and was scheduled when I told my dad, too. The only thing he could do was lose his cool, so he had his fit, talked to Mom, and realized, even though he feared something might go wrong for me, this was my last chance at having a healthier life. He still doesn't understand all the diet restrictions, but he's not the one who went through surgery, so all he has to know is I'm alright. And, I'll get better. I started my journey this time at 42 years of age and 337 pounds. That is close the the highest I have ever been and I didn't want to see 350. Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App

    One month post op

I hit about 300 and lose the extender, too. That is one great feeling! Looks like everything is fitting a bit better since losing a size! Awesome! Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App

    Right leg cramp

My calves have hurt like they are about to cramp ever since surgery. I usually notice it in the morning when I stretch in bed. It doesn't hurt bad enough for me to worry about it. Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App

    I ate out!

You're only two and a half weeks out and you are cleared for real food?!? Where are you? Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App
  14. I'm two weeks out and have only lost 4 pounds since surgery. Disappointing, but my body is still recovering from surgery. Give yourself another month before you consider yourself stalled. Surgery weightloss is sometimes slower to start than band. Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App

    Stomach Ulcers

You would much rather be healthy and waiting than done and sick. You'll get to the losers bench, give your body some time. : ) Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App

    Needing Advice

What procedure are you considering? You will DEFINITELY lose weight with bypass and sleeve because those will permanently decrease the size of your stomach. The lap band is dependent on you getting the fills done when you need to. Now, with each of the procedures there is a post surgery diet that needs to be followed. No drinking while eating, also. 1 week post op

I can't tell when I'm hungry until it's too late and I get the heaves. The only time my stomach makes noise is when I'm eating. Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App
  20. I couldn't pass the gas they pump you full of either. I burped it out instead. I had an easy time with the liquid, and didn't really have the gas pains you are experiencing in your chest. Walking will help with the chest pains, though. Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App

    Noosa yogurt?

There is too much sugar! I stick to Yoplait Greek 100 and light and fit Greek Dannon with 80 calories. Also, you want to try to stay away from yogurts that have fruit in them. Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App

    Belly button issues

I'd ask your surgeon what's going on. I didn't have anything done with my bellybutton during WLS. Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App
  25. One thing the insurance companies will want to know is how many other avenues to weight loss have you taken already? The doctors will look at BMI, too. This isn't a surgery like liposuction; just because you want it, you're going to get it. I had to jump through so many hoops, go to classes, get a psych work up...The whole process will take six months. Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App
