sleevinpops got a reaction from BrightEyes77375 in Feeling kind of betrayed
Get rid of the chocolates! All of the work, changes and sacrifices you have made, yet you don't want to hurt his feelings! I think you need to asses your priorities. YOU SHOULD COME FIRST! Though he may not have all the "details" of your surgery, is he that ignorant not to hear your comments and requests before hand? And when asked to say it was stupid; No, he he was stupid!
Let him see you trashing them, it will show that you mean what you say. If he has a problem with it, that's his problem to deal with.

sleevinpops got a reaction from biginjapan in Feb 2017 sleevers - how's everyone doing post-op?
Sleeved on 2/9 so one month to date tomorrow.
The good:
Down 29 pounds since surgery.
Walking tons, can't wait to start exercising.
No issues keeping food down
The challenges still:
Constipation has been and still remains an issue though.
Having tough time slowing down when eating
Still feel hungry between meals
Overall, happy with the decision and progress

Everyone has different diets. I had to wait 3 weeks for soft foods.

It would be best for you to talk to your nutritionist asap! I only lost 15lbs in the first 3 weeks -- do not listen to people bragging about losing 30lbs in 3 weeks -- for all you know they started at 500lbs, so of course they lost more at the beginning.
This is *your* journey and you just need to talk to the nutritionist, get some recommendations or a brush up on the nutrition instructions and focus on yourself. -

Congratulations! Welcome to the losers bench! Make sure you walk as much as you can, it really helps keep the pain at bay as well as the gas down.

Holy moly! Haw can a doctor do this to a patient especially with such a significant surgery! You should report this to your insurance if it was covered.
Anyway...clear liquids and Protein Shakes only for the first few weeks ( I had two weeks), then you can introduce low fat, low sugar yogurt, sugar free pudding in third week.
Intake goal :48 oz of fluids / 60 grams of protein
Next three weeks for me are liquids, soft Proteins (tofu, soft chicken, eggs, yogurt, retried Beans etc. ). I am not allowed fruits or vegetables until 6 weeks out.
Goal 64 oz fluids 60-80 grams of Protein.< br>
Check out theworldaccordingtoeggface.com, she's got a lot of suggestions for this and each stage.
After week 6, can start to introduce all textures and fruits &veggies.
Good luck!

sleevinpops got a reaction from o00 in Do You Have a Personal Trainer?
I used a personal trainer once, found it o be a waste. I use fits tar which is an app from Fitbit. They have online trainings that cover everything. I started using pre-op and loved it. It "kicked my butt"
Looking forward to starting again once I'm healed enough. Will be starting the toning sets.

sleevinpops got a reaction from Andrea F in Cooked greens???
I am restricted for about 6-8 weeks. Doc says he only wants Protein to ensure no excessive or unnecessary gas pressure. It's a short amount of time to deal with vs having to deal later with potential issues

Did you strain or over exert yourself recently? Are you taking anything for the Constipation, and has it helped with the pain? I think this is something better left for your doctor.

sleevinpops reacted to Jess55 in Hospital attire?
Well good news for me. I asked the nurse at my pre op appointment and she said you are allowed to wear regular clothes post op. So I'm happy about this. So I'll be sure to pack something comfortable to wear around underwear the hospital
