  1. Best of luck!! You'll do great! Sleeved 1/12. Pre op liquid diet great practice for post op.
  2. Sleeved 1/12. We all have the "what did I do..." moments, but forgetting we need some time for our bodies to heal. Hang in there!!!
  3. Thanks for the lemon juice tip jen - I need something to cut the sweetness of my protein shake - using Bariatric Advantage powder. Sleeved 1/12 and just starting purée. Water and protein counts the focus for now, but interested in calorie goals post op.
  4. You will do great!!! So much has gone right to get you to this point!!! Normal to be stressed - so many emotions!!
  5. The count down to surgery is exciting, but stressful. You will do great!!! I would try to think of all that was done to bring me to that point - so much has gone right so far to get you to a surgery date!!!!
  6. Sleeved 1/12. For me it's 2 days clear liquids, 7 days full liquids, 3 wks purée, 4 wks soft foods. It seems like each dr has some variation of that. Cauliflower pizza sounds good for the soft food phase! And looking forward to trying ricotta bake at purée. Thanks to all for the support and wisdom!!
  7. 8 days post op. Still liquid diet for a couple more days. Minimal pain - mostly when I wake up in the morning, probably because I end up rolling on my side a bit. Still doing small sips of water, Protein shakes and other liquids to avoid discomfort. Walking more. Today was my first minor panic moment - I think the surgery settled in, and I'm worrying about the purée phase coming up. Anyone have a "panic" moment (or two) like that, a week or so after surgery?
  8. 1 week post op. And I'm starting to have "head" hunger, and missing food. I can tell it's in my head, because physically my stomach doesn't really want food.
  9. Congrats! 5 days post op here! SD 1/12.
  10. The problem is it's not really nausea. It's more like a dumping thing I think. I eat something, it feels like it's sitting ABOVE my stomach and not going in, and then I need to be sick very quickly. I start back at work today too so I'm concerned about it all. Hope return to work goes ok. Zofran is supposed to help with nausea and vomiting. May not be what you need, but see what dr says.
  11. Hang in there. My dr mentioned some feel lots of fatigue a few weeks post op. Do you have a nausea med? Maybe call your dr. Hang in there. My dr mentioned some feel lots of fatigue a few weeks post op. Do you have a nausea med? Maybe call your dr.
  12. Pre-op folks hang in there. An anxious time, but you're in the home stretch!!
  13. Congrats lindz. I haven't got on the scale yet - was thinking I'll wait until 1 week mark. SD 1/12. Liking Premier Protein, I did during pre-op too.
  14. 4 days post op. Not as much pain now when drinking, still very small sips. Hope others recovering well.
  15. Tried my first post op Protein powder and water today. I took zofran first to help with nausea. Only getting sips in here and there, but tolerable. Water going down better.
  16. 3 days post op. Can only handle tiny sips to avoid pain. Even tiny sips are a little uncomfortable, but bearable. One day at a time!
  17. I'm day 3 post op. So far need pain meds like clockwork. But bearable. Heating pad seems to help.
  18. Got through day 2 clear liquids. Taking very very small sips to avoid pain and nausea. That seems to help. Hoping to start regular liquids today with a protein shake.
  19. Just Had Surgery on the 12th. So happy to be over!
  20. Surgery Jan 12th. Count down. Nervous!!
  21. January 12th! Getting very nervous!!
  22. January 12 surgery for me. My dr says 1 week liquid preop diet. But sounds like it can vary by person/dr.
