I haven't been on in so long, I had to change my ticker! Glad to be back!

Today is my three year aniversary. It has been a challenge but the best thing I ever did for myself. Up and down 15 for the past few months but still at 100 lbs lost!

So glad to have found this thread to get involved in. I relate to everyone. I gained 20 lbs back and feel like a failure and need encouragement before the scale goes up and up. Needed those guidelines to read again. Need the support. Thanks. Happy New Year.

My band probably slipped because I kept myself too tight, thus I lost weight very quickly which I am happy about. I got the flu and threw up because of it. That is most likely why although my Dr tells me sometimes there is no reason and I should not blame myself. Just bad luck. I am at goal now and plan on keeping myself just slightly restricted once I can start fills again.

Thanks for answering me so quick. I just noticed it has only been a month since your new band was put in. Glad you are doing so well. Congradulations on all the weight loss, too. You look great! Isn't it great that at least this time around, we only have to maintain! The reason the surgery and the recovery is easier is probably because we are in such better shape than before. Have you had your first fill yet? Are you going through "banster hell" again? I totally agree with you, I never want to have to be without my band and I will never live too tight again.

I am wondering why your band had to be replaced. My band slipped and I just came home from revision surgery yesterday.I am feeling great compared to the first time around. I asked the Dr if he could put a new band in but said that after inspection, a reposition was all that was needed. He also found a hiatal hernia which he said is common with a slip. I agree, go to Dr ASAP if you have any problems. Having a second surgery is no fun! :thumbup:

Yes, it was a great weekend!

I know fiber is the key but I get really bad pains in my stomach every time I try to add fiber to my diet. The Fiber-one yogurts killed me. Laxatives are really made for when you can stay home the next day and I do not have that luxury. Mira-lax works best for me. I take it every other day. Anyone know why I have so much trouble with fiber or have ideas for me?

This is my FAVORITE post!!! I feel the same way about my band. It has saved my life and only treated me well! We have to take care of it in order for it to take care of us!!

Hi Everyone! Happy Memorial Day weekend! Julie- Sounds like you are feeling better. Everyone has a blue day once in a while.Glad yours past. Rose- I am so sorry for all you are going through now.
