    Low BMI sleevers... results?

Hi! I started at same BMI as you and self funded in Mexico too! My surgery date was 1/27 so I'm about 4 weeks out. I am so happy with my decision, I have healed quickly and feel great. I decided to go with wls surgery bc I felt like I spent my whole life gaining weight and then obsessively dieting, losing some weight and then immediately gaining it back. Plus I was constantly hungry and obsessed with food. For me the surgery was about losing weight and keeping it off. I have lost 24 lbs so far and although the scale hasn't moved in a week it hasn't gone up either. I love that I can eat small amounts and not feel full. I look forward to reaching my goal weight and being able to enjoy food in moderation. Feel free to dm if you want a friend! I love talking about my experience and am open to any questions.

    Cheated

I personally think 3 bites of pizza is fine if it keeps you sane and on track. I had surgery about 4 weeks ago and for a week I was going insane thinking about pizza and my favorite foods. I even dreamed about nachos. So the other night I went out to eat with my boyfriend and had some tortilla chips and I felt super guilty. But the chips also helped cure my cravings and since then I haven't been obsessing over treats/cheats. For me I want to lose weight but also be a normal person and learn how to eat certain things in moderation and move on. On the other hand if you have severe food addiction it might mean you need to avoid certain foods all together.

    Low BMIers

Hi stayingyoung! I just had surgery on 1/27 in Tijuana with Dr. Maytorena. By the time surgery came around my BMI was around 29-30. I am so happy with my decision! I think bc we have lower bmi we bounce back faster. I'm not even 2 weeks out and I feel completely healed (minus being a little tired). If you have any questions or need anyone to talk to feel free to message me! Best of luck!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
