Men never admit they have small penises up front or say anything about their shortcomings when naked. Why should I handicap myself when men don't.

I've never had a man be like oh girl let me warn you, I don't have a 6 pack!

I don't disclose anything about loose skin and no one has ever commented on it once. I don't hide the fact I have lost weight, but men I date don't even ask me about it or care. They know I'm active.

I've lost a lot of weight. Even though I look good in clothes, you can look at me and tell I used to be fat. The arms are a dead give away. They already know what they are getting into before I take my clothes off.

    I love your honesty....GREAT post!!

  2. I honestly didn't mind the pre-op requirements. I had the basics....nut, psych, extensive blood work, chest xray, ekg, endoscopy (due to a history of heartburn/reflux). I had a 6 mo wait through insurance and had to see my primary dr each month. I was motivated and focused and ready to do whatever I needed to do for the surgery. As for pre-op diet, I only had 2 days of liquids and a bowel prep. I was asked to lose 15 lbs pre-op and did just that through my 6 mo weight management program, diet and exercise. Self pay was not an option.

  3. My kids are a bit younger than your's and have some special needs. I didn't want to worry them and may divulge more as time goes on as it's clearly a life change. What I told them is that I was going to have a procedure that would help me be more active, healthy and allow me to do more things with them. They have seen my staples, my post-op liquid diet and my woozy first days of pain.
    Good luck to you!

  4. Hey, We're surgery buddies... I had RNY on 3/27/17, too. I came home 3/28 and each day has been better and better. I have my post op on Wednesday of this next week and looking forward to 1) getting these staples out and 2) expanding my post-op menu. LOL

    Hope you are doing well!!!

  5. My surgeon requires us to be no farther than 1 hour away for the first 7 days in case there are any complications I also don't think I would have been very comfortable in the car for much longer than my ride home. I swear I felt every bump, dip, pothole in the road. It's hard letting go of mommy responsibilities. I felt very disconnected from my kids/family my first week home, but I"m grateful that my hubs had the reins so I could rest and be comfortable.
