50g: The most protein I've found in any drink so far
Coachthex32 replied to Missouri-Lee's Summit's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I was told the body can only handle 30 g of protein per hour? Anything more is just wasted. -
Eating out ok no pureed diet
Coachthex32 replied to MassMom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The same thing happened to me. Two different results: 1. Was able to order soup and fit in. Just sipped on it through out the meal. 2. I ordered, but did not eat anything. Just cut it up and moved stuff around on the plate. When someone noticed I just said that I was not that hungry. Saved me from having an awkward conversation about my procedure. -
40 something sleevers?
Coachthex32 replied to Letsgetgoing2018's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Sleeved at 44. Wish I would have had this done 20 years ago. At 46, I am healthier and in better shape than I was in my mid 20’s. Will say that a complete body transformation brings its own challenges. -
I stopped at the library after work this afternoon to work on a paper that is due for a class I am taking. (working on my masters) An extremely attractive women in maybe her late 40's asked me if I would like to get a cup of coffee. I graciously declined and she handed me her number. Said she her company just transferred her to Dallas and she is way past the bar scene. Again, I declined (married for 17 years) but wow!!!! it did feel awesome to be noticed again.

Should have listened to the vets...3 week stall is real!
Coachthex32 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Being a high school teacher and a football coach I thought that I had a system that would work right through any potential of a stall. Work harder = better results. Well, I'm in the middle of 3 weeks post op and I have not lost anything the last 4 days. Even gained .2 during the stall. Added more Water and Protein (still in the liquid stage) and have been increasing walking times. There are probably a 1000+ posts talking about the 3 week stall and how it happens to 98% of us. SO.... here I am dealing with a stall. But the strangest thing happened this morning, pants that did not fit at the start of the week are now almost too loose! Not losing weight during the stall, but losing inches.......just like what all the vets said. -
Thanks for your help. Making progress. Two weeks post op

Can you stall before you start?
Coachthex32 replied to rbaertsch's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
No problem. My doc said not to worry about distance, speed, or steps. Just commit to 30 mins a day for the first 30 days. Oh, min 64 oz of Water is very, very important. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
