  1. Getting protein in at week 2 for me was very difficult! I agree with "clc9", you have to start your day early. Protein is a must, I didn't do well getting in my protein the first three weeks. I now add 30g of Genepro unflavored to about 6oz of water three times a day. It does get better. Best wishes!
  2. You look great and an inspiration to us all. Keep up the good work!
  3. I enjoy your comments and advice and it is greatly appreciated..Thanks
  4. Mine started several days before surgery and I was so worried as my flow is pretty heavy. Like others mentioned, I was provided a pad and disposable panties! Best wishes
  5. @Ruth1less, you look awesome! Thanks for sharing your pics and the advice....Very inspiring! Take care
  6. MxKitty & Sjfink, you ladies look amazing!
  7. @Black2028, I totally understand you. My surgery was 2/8/17 and I was 284. I have only lost 11lbs. I am losing slow and following my plan. I thought the larger a person was the more he or she lose upfront. Apparently this isn't the case. I decided to stop weighing myself daily, stop comparing myself, and work the plan. Although, the scale isn't moving, I sure have lost a lot of inches! I am happy with that. You should be proud of yourself on your weight loss thus far. I know it isn't what you want to hear especially from people that has lost >30 lbs in 5wks...Hang in there!
  8. @snapy17, I feel your pain. I am 3wks out and only down 11lbs. I am following the plan and I am still losing slow. I stop weighing myself everyday as I become depressed seeing the continued stall (7days thus far). I am just going to continue to follow the process and I know it will eventually come off. My advice is to decrease the carbs. I also here that 15lbs-20lbs a month is good. Oh, and I stop comparing myself to others. Best Wishes!
  9. @tronataizhane & sleevecomingsoon, thank you both for the thoughtful words. And congrats on the weight loss. I am still struggling getting all my Protein in and Water.. I will definitely keep "a lost is a lost" in mind....I know I will get there! Take care
  10. @OutsideMatchInside&memphiswls, thanks so much for the advice. You guys and everyone that has commented have really lifted my spirits!!! Take care!!!
  11. @kkami12 thanks for your encouraging words!! I am going to keep pushing! Keep up the good work too!!
  12. @mylighthouse, thanks for your reply. I actually expected to lose at least 15lbs. As I mentioned before I used to weigh 400lbs and lost down to 250lbs through diet and exercise. And I gained 45 lbs back of the 150 that I loss and I have yo-yoed my ENTIRE LIFE!!!! My weight loss was faster during that process, I guess I expected it to be quicker after surgery..I agree as comparing myself has really discouraged me!!!!
  13. Awww, thanks for the encouraging words!! Good luck to you too!!!
  14. I never thought I would feel this way!!! I just left my two weeks post surgery follow up and only down 10lbs. Talk about super disappointed!!!! I am Literally in tears. I used to be 400lbs and have been on diets all my life and lost at a rate alot faster then this. I am trying to stay motivated and continue this path but so hard when you see others lose close to 20lbs in the same time frame. Please tell me this will get better!!!
  15. I have been obese from birth-lol. I can remember wearing boy husky jeans in the third grade. I graduated from high school over 300lbs. I am the 12th child and all of my siblings are obese! I am so thankful for the surgery! Now three of my siblings have scheduled the seminar. I am excited about the future for us all....Take care
  16. Glad to hear all is Well!!!!! The gas pain-ugh....It will get better!
  17. Amen, love the advice....I am 5 days post op and feel so much better! Pray
