    What a great question.

I noticed more capacity at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months. My capacity at almost 20 months is about the same as 12 months.

What I had to do was at mainly dense Protein. I had to switch to steak, chicken breasts, pork chops. I increased my fat and increased my calories per day.

Even with increased capacity, dense Protein is going to sit in your sleeve, so things like steak are your friend. I had to give up things like chicken salad, too moist, no restriction, no satisfaction, still "hungry" afterwards.

I learned that salad was a slider at that point so I would eat a lot of baby spinach in the afternoons, like a whole bag.

I enjoy your comments and advice and it is greatly appreciated..Thanks

  2. @Black2028, I totally understand you. My surgery was 2/8/17 and I was 284. I have only lost 11lbs. I am losing slow and following my plan. I thought the larger a person was the more he or she lose upfront. Apparently this isn't the case. I decided to stop weighing myself daily, stop comparing myself, and work the plan. Although, the scale isn't moving, I sure have lost a lot of inches! I am happy with that. You should be proud of yourself on your weight loss thus far. I know it isn't what you want to hear especially from people that has lost >30 lbs in 5wks...Hang in there!

  3. @snapy17, I feel your pain. I am 3wks out and only down 11lbs. I am following the plan and I am still losing slow. I stop weighing myself everyday as I become depressed seeing the continued stall (7days thus far). I am just going to continue to follow the process and I know it will eventually come off. My advice is to decrease the carbs. I also here that 15lbs-20lbs a month is good. Oh, and I stop comparing myself to others. Best Wishes!

  4. @mylighthouse, thanks for your reply. I actually expected to lose at least 15lbs. As I mentioned before I used to weigh 400lbs and lost down to 250lbs through diet and exercise. And I gained 45 lbs back of the 150 that I loss and I have yo-yoed my ENTIRE LIFE!!!! My weight loss was faster during that process, I guess I expected it to be quicker after surgery..I agree as comparing myself has really discouraged me!!!!

  5. I never thought I would feel this way!!! I just left my two weeks post surgery follow up and only down 10lbs. Talk about super disappointed!!!! I am Literally in tears. I used to be 400lbs and have been on diets all my life and lost at a rate alot faster then this. I am trying to stay motivated and continue this path but so hard when you see others lose close to 20lbs in the same time frame. Please tell me this will get better!!!

I'm also having anxiety about my upcoming March 8 sleeve surgery. I think it's very normal at this stage to be nervous. I just remind myself with my past attempts and failures and now starting to have health issues from the weight that this is the time and I need to do this before it's too late. A month post op we're going to feel great! God bless

Amen, love the advice....I am 5 days post op and feel so much better! Pray
