  1. I have Cigna and I'm in TX. Requirements are three months waiting, bmi 40+, or 35+ with co-morbidities, pcp referral, supervised diet visits, etc. It's pretty nice actually and not too much (for me at least-I have no co-morbidities-that's what I'm preventing!) The waiting is the worse part.
  2. It's actually my hubby's bike. Says he'll give it to me when he upgrades. Lol. I'll probably start riding after I hit goal weight. I used that pic cause I wanted to change the profile and didn't have anything that good on my phone. I try to keep up with everyone here and comment because I know it means a lot to each of us when we're not alone!!! I'm happy your surgery went well too. Many more blessings hon!
  3. I've got the book. Haven't finished but plan to go this route for sure. I need to finish it though. Very good stuff.
  4. Your welcome hon. I am like you too, helps to hear someone say it. ? Sounds like it was sleep. Those are super long days! You'll be back in no time. Get some good ? and rest now.
  5. Are you losing inches? Clothes fitting better? Are you working out, cardio, weights? The big question is....ARE YOU EATING ENOUGH?
  6. Your pics are inspiring! I have a muscular build as well and hope to look as good as you!!! But if this was a competition, you beat me in the tummy area. HAHA! Great job!
  7. It says pre-surgery she drank coke mixed with water.
  8. Stress also has an impact...causes us to develop more cortisol...although you ate healthy, it can be a factor. Lack of sleep. Not getting enough fluids in. About that time of the month. It's no way fat, unless you laid around the whole time eating cheesecake all day, you didn't gain 8lbs of fat. So, don't worry about it. As fast as the fluctuation happened, it'll happen again and go down. Focus on other things but the scale number. It's a mind battlefield for craziness to happen.
  9. Ooh...knee pain and running. Well, I'm no doctor. But I am a daughter of a physical therapist and I would have to say by what he would tell me "you shouldn't be running with the extra weight and knee pain" Every one pound loss is 4 pounds of pressure taken off the knees. Congratulations on your 109 weight loss, that's 436lbs of pressure off of your knees!!!! WOW! But also, please listen to your body. Pain is usually screaming when something is wrong. Yesterday I went for a walk, a very long walk, my knee started acting up. I stopped and rested. Then I finished (only because I had to, to get to my car). Needless to say, I won't be taking any long walks for a while. Have you had your knees checked? Are you in therapy for your knees? Anything? Hope you find a great solution--cause that 10K sounds awesome!
  10. Today is Thursday! Hope it's going swell!
  11. I was under the impression that the Thrive is just vitamins, but it's a weight loss management system. I'll have to pass. I'm fine for just vitamins but I don't want the whole system. Thanks for the info though!
  12. Thank you for the suggestion! I'll look for it.
  13. May your surgery go smooth and well. Blessings on your journey!
  14. Btw...I counted only 15 questions. LOL Have a blessed journey!!!
  15. Oh no! Try some zicam or Occilliums-something (have no idea how to spell it). If it's early on, you can get rid of it fast! Do you use essential oils? Tea tree oil in a diffuser will work too. Breathe it in all day/night. Are you able to take meds now, this close to surgery?
  16. I'm having the same issue with some of the pictures being posted. Just shows an X with a bunch of letters and numbers after it.
  17. Yay! Glad you got your answers. Keep us posted on your journey! I'd love to hear of it.
  18. To go through weight issues so early on in your life isn't what a child should ever have to do! Seems like the atmosphere of where you are, home or London, plays a big role in who you are and what you do. Is there a chance you can remove yourself again and be where you're most happiest? Other than that, second guessing surgery is normal. I had appts set twice and cancelled and finally said ok to the third and last appt. But this time (and after reading so many experiences that don't ever regret doing this) I'll get my life back, a new one though. So, it's quite normal having all these questions....just keep trudging on hon and I bet you'll be happy you went through it. Many blessings to you on your journey!! Keep us posted!
  19. Please don't be embarrassed or ashamed. Like you say, you came out of depression and am taking control of your life. How exciting is that!?!? I'm proud of you for doing so. We human beings have to "talk" to release those things that want to hinder and bring us down. Let's say no more to those, we are in control! In regards to your medication, I will hope and pray for find clear answers and maybe someone here can answer! Keep us posted. ?
  20. Looked it up, fresh tattoos pose a risk of a possible skin infection and if it's too close to the surgery, most surgeons don't want to run the risk of an infection occurring with surgery.
  21. Did you know that just doing a ten min intentional walk/exercise is all you need daily for the heart, etc? I love exercising. I love pumping the iron. But I also know, it's not going to get me where I want to be any faster, since it's only 20% of my total physique. Diet alone is the big one, 80% of it. That's where the real difference comes in. BUT "a body in motion, stays in motion." Need that 20% too. Doesn't have to be extreme.
  22. Hang in there hon, you're almost there! Think of your six months being a blessing to those who have to do a year, or even two, I've heard, when going through insurance. Imagine another six months....eeee! And like @clc9 says, don't let the insurance company win; make them pay.
  23. Definitely what everyone else said, but if you MUST get something at a fast food, go for the grilled nuggets at ChickFilA less the sauce. 140Calories 3.5GFat 2GCarbs 25GProtein
