  1. Good read. Be encouraged that even this factor has a role in how you lose your weight https://www.google.com/amp/www.womenshealthmag.com/weight-loss/where-do-you-lose-weight-first%3Famp
  2. There are some factors playing in this. The clothes are a brand that are smaller than others. You're losing inches/fat in other areas first. You have lost that weight, but maybe holding water for a short time. Overall, you're down 25 lbs-congrats on that! I wouldn't worry about your clothes so much. Just keep doing what you're doing to lose the weight.

    I LOVE it!!!! ??????
  4. One day at a time...that's what I'll be telling myself too. ? You can do this.
  5. The 16th has passed....are you sleeved? Or can I assume you mean the 26th of april, in a couple of days?
  6. Learn to not drink with your meals. Wait at least 30-45 mins after eating to drink. Probably the hardest thing after sipping everything ever. I'm still pre-op and having a hard time doing it (for the past three months), I met someone who is post op and she's still having a hard time. If you can get that pat down then that's one great habit to have by the time of your surgery.
  7. I don't like sweet sugary drinks so there's no way I'd even try it. Most people don't pay attention to nutritional eerrr....un-nutritional facts so it's scary to know that many will be pumping the case of obesity and diabetes in their bodies. Not cool Starbucks.
  8. It's not often that I come to the special interests forums. I just had a belly ache reading through another special interest thread. LOL Thought to come here and get some of that ache lifted. I've been around since Dec most daily. I've noticed many people tend to drop out of BP after getting their surgeries done. I'm going to be updating as I usually do to help others perhaps. Will this thread be safe enough to talk about our lives as Christians? Seems so....there's nothing but hostility and attacks about Christians on another thread. Not lately, thankfully. Hope you're still around too hon????
  9. Congrats hon. Here's to a new you! ??
  10. Some of this may not apply to you....but be encouraged! Blessings to you hon!
  11. You look great! Don't fret....it's not over. WIth all the exercising you do, you could possibly be NOT EATING ENOUGH to sustain the calories you're burning. Once you add in a little more food/calories, you will most likely see a change in your body again. Check out this site, should help. http://eatmore2weighless.com/ Also, there is a recent thread of a fellow BP member who spelled it all out, let me find it and I'll post it.
  12. Finally....I love seeing others chime in about this. I damaged my metabolism by not eating enough as well. I gained weight doing this. I also worked out a lot. Didn't see anything going anywhere. Doc was always on to me too. I finally learned my lessons and educated myself. I've got a lot of information from this site, http://eatmore2weighless.com/. Helped me immensely. Although I don't like the idea of calorie counting, it's good to do/start just to get an idea of what you should be eating at the activity you are doing.
  13. I expect to be there for one night and released early the next day. I tend to have a high tolerance for pain and am usually above par with my surgeries; I will also be doing as much walking around as I can so I can go home early enough. That's my hope.
  14. You should be cleared to deduct than, if it exceeds more than 7.5% of your adjusted gross income. That'll be nice.
  15. I'm not sure how I forgot about all of that. I've had multiple surgeries and even waiting in the ER a few times they've loaded me up with blankets because I was cold. The less I can take the better, I'll think this through a bit more now. Thanks again!
  16. I literally just deleted the bath robe I was about to purchase when I read this! Thanks for posting. I will just use what they give me. I'm always cold too, so I think just a couple of small fleece blankets to drape over me will suffice. But I will buy some comfy non slip slippers...I don't think they'll need to cut them off for any reason . haha
  17. Sounds like it. But like another poster said, don't worry on the calories. Get your protein in.
  18. It's never ending.
  19. It is since you're not getting all the carbs and calories. I always find I'm sluggish when I don't have carbs. So I stick to complex carbs. When I start my two week pre-op, I know I'll be limited. I'll introduce healthy, complex carbs back slowly in when I'm cleared for regular foods. Or I like what another poster said "I make sure I get all my protein and the carbs take care of themselves." Have a great journey!!!
  20. I was wondering about your status. Forgive me I couldn't recall your user name to ask. I'll follow you so I won't forget! ? You're stressed, I can understand. But please do not eat incorrectly because of it. I know you know this. You've come a long ways to get to where you are now. I know you can keep going the right road. ? Be kind to yourself hon. I sure hope you get some awesome reports! That's what I'll be hoping for, for you. Blessings to you hon.
  21. That was a wonderful and truthful read. Thank you for all you do! To your husband and the other couple as well. You're on point about the shame, lack of self respect, we all (even those who aren't obese) could use healing in every aspect of our lives. For a WHOLE body, WHOLE mind, and a WHOLE spirit. It's a continuous journey to be and stay whole, some need outside help (therapy, etc), some get spiritual help (a Godly miracle), and some are so strong they combat the negatives on their own. Many blessings to all who are getting help in all areas of their lives.
  22. You can always buy a donut to sit on. It'll help alleviate the pain and take pressure off the tailbone.
  23. I didn't have HP but had biopsies done. I had an inflamed stomach at the time (back in nov 16). It was nothing to worry about for me. When we hear "biopsy" it's almost instinct to think the worse, cancer, etc. Have hope. It's all well and nothing of the sort. Maybe it's just inflamed a little. Blessings to you hon.
