Final weigh-in
Take a water pill or suppository to make you go, if you must, but, like the above poster said, I don't believe it'll be so because of the 4 lbs. That would just be NOT NICE of them to do. Hope the best for you hon!

VITAMIN AND PROTEIN SHAKES
GNC Lean Shakes are SOOOOO Good....and very little sugars. I currently use Premier Protein only because my insurance paid for them. Vitamins...i started out with Celebrate Multivitamin chewables. (Couldn't stomach them anymore after two weeks) so I switched to the Multivitamin patches. Also take B-12 sublingual (Nature's Own or something like that), calcium citrate (500) by Bariatric Advantage, and started biotin and probiotics (Garden of Life) just a few days ago. And if you need constant reminders like me of when to take them, etc....the ROUND app is awesome.

Anyone in Texas?
In Corpus...so glad I did this. I don't regret this one bit. Started my journey in Jan, had my surgery in May. It was the pits having to wait, but it's good practice with eating, sipping, etc. Answering your question to ThickGirl5683, I'm one month post now. I drink my liquids just fine. The sipping stopped about 2 weeks post. Thankfully! Still can't chug, but you can drink good. It is hard to cram the liquids and trying to get your food in for the day. It can be done though...and it gets easier every day. Congrats on your journey hon. Be blessed!!

May 15th, 2017 Sleevers Check in Here!!!
You're welcome hon. I was pretty excited to find this info out myself. Those antibiotics always gets me sick somehow, usually a yeast infection. Thankfully I'm not on any of them now, but taking the probiotics, I've noticed that I didn't get sick not once (and usually do) with my kids having fevers and my husband was sick last week. No coughing, colds, etc for me! I do buy the yakult drinks for my girls though. I tried to give them some that way.

May 15th, 2017 Sleevers Check in Here!!!
Good morning ya'll.... I have to share this with you. I can't keep it to myself, because that wouldn't be nice. Anyhow, I read an article about probiotics and wls. I've been someone to take probiotics before just because I've always had digestive/stomach issues. So, since BM's are so regular still for me, (thankfully I still have them though), I have gone back to take a daily probiotic. The article I read was done by a doctor who gave his patients a probiotic over the course of the year I think. One group had the probiotic (at least 50billion) and the other group had a placebo. The probiotic group lost up to 77% of their goal while the placebo group lost up to 60%. I stumbled on this research cause I wanted to see if taking it at this stage was going to be okay for me. Then I see the study and I'm equally happy that this is an extra benefit to using them. I originally purchased GoLive probiotics packets (you put them in water, juice, etc) and drink them. But my brother, being the health nut he is, told me that even though I may get some of the probiotics in them, they don't reach the gut in full, as if I were to take a capsule of them and it releases in the gut. So, I switched to Garden of Life probiotics for women. I started taking it yesterday, this morning, I wake up and my stomach feels flat as ever. I know it's not really flat, but you know the feeling when there's no bloating, gas, food, etc in it. I'll be taking it everyday, or every other day. It's not only for your gut, but vaginal health too. Our bodies need this good bacteria. It builds up our immune system and we have less chances of developing a cold, etc. It's a good thing. So, the day is starting. I need to wake up my two youngest and get them ready for swim and child care. Hope you all have a fantastic day and I'll be sure to check in later. Be blessed!

I have oatmeal. I just make sure it's not a ready made packet that has a lot of added ingredients to it. I prefer whole grains oatmeal with no sugar and I add the sweetener of my choice. Do you have a plan from your doc/nut that details what you can have and when to have it? Currently, I'm cleared for all foods. I would imagine most of us would be at this point, but some doc/nuts are different.

Y'all might crack up. I was getting ready for bed and I took off my bra and out came tumbling a wad of $5 bills to the floor!!!! It took me a second to register where the money came from. Totally forgot I threw it on the side of my bra after my brother paid me back from borrowing some money. ? So ready for these things to be smaller!!! I'm somewhat hopeful, but they're not going anywhere yet!!! ?

OMG I think I just dumped!
Thanks for the heads up! I had an experience just swallowing a multivitamin way too fast. Won't ever do again! I bet you won't either. ?

Hope everything was a blessing today y'all! I'm quite late in responding. We've had a very busy Father's Day so far. Just now on the way home from my own fathers house. I ate responsibly. They had homemade cheesecake. I don't have a sweet tooth, I usually pass it up, but I had a single bite today. It was good and I won't feel guilty about it either. ? @queenbee88, hon I hope you find relief from the heat. Sometimes I want to chug water and remember I can't. It's over 90 degrees here daily. Ridiculous. Some days I feel parched by bedtime, but focus the next day. It is hard to get all the fluids and food too. I know it. Hope your doc gives you some tips and pointers. Keep us posted hon! Maybe what might work for you will help someone else in the same predicament. Just about home now, got to get the kids ready for bed. Y'all be blessed. I might log back in a bit later.

Vitamins
Took them the very day I got home from the hospital. 2 days post. I definitely prefer the multivitamin patch that I'm on now. I couldn't do the Celebrate chewables anymore, I feel sick just thinking of them. I also take B-12 sublingual tablets (tastes fine) and Bariatric Advantage calcium citrate chewables (taste pretty good).

May 15th, 2017 Sleevers Check in Here!!!
Good morning y'all. So I've followed a thread about not screwing over our metabolisms and I've learned that I just may have to count my calories for a little while. I was so set against doing so, but wisdom tells me that I absolutely don't have it all together, even now, when it comes to eating what I should be and enough. Thus, I had weight loss surgery. So, I'm biting my words right now and I'll be using MFP for a while. Until I master eating the way I should be, then I will consider not having to count. I am happy to say I got to about 800 calories yesterday. This will be my goal for the next couple of months. More or less, depending on how hungry or not hungry I am in a day. My exercising is still going on too. I plan to cancel the gym, and workout at home. I'm actually enjoying this. I have weights here and kettle bells. I have stretchy bands and an awesome professional jump rope. I'm sure I'll add to my exercise equipment soon. I love going to academy to see what else I could use and incorporate in my workouts. I plan to buy a balance ball chair for my office at work. This will help strengthen my core throughout the day. I'll post a pic of it. I just had a discussion with my 12 year old about forgiveness. As I was talking to her, I realized that I, too, need to forgive myself for not being wise, taking actions, being knowledgeable and educating myself, in how to take care of my body and be healthy. I am not a religious gal, but I do believe that we are to be whole. We need to be healthy in our minds, our bodies, and our soul. I've mastered my mind (thank the lord!), and my soul (even so, IT IS WELL), but this is a journey to master my body. I'm super excited about it too. So, today is a beautiful day here. I've got my girls all day (hubby had to work mandatory OT) and I'm going to enjoy every bit of this day. Y'all be blessed! ? Heres the chair:

Post-op Olive Oil?
I haven't done it yet, but I plan to add a tablespoon of coconut oil daily somehow. Getting the oil from the inside has a lot of benefits.

Made it to the other side
All quite normal. Lol. You'll get there!
