  3. Happy New Year! I can now say that I will be having WLS this year! Hope you all have a safe, happy, and healthy year.

  4. The left was me just doing cardio. I was losing weight and was down to 189 lbs in this picture. The right is mainly weight lifting and HIIT. In this picture I weigh 195 lbs. I have come to the conclusion that I may not reach my weight goal but I am definitely reaching my body goals.

I didn’t pay any attention to my diet over the holidays, nor have I worked out and I managed to lose about 5lbs. I’m still not paying too close (strict) attention, but I will be working out again once the kiddos are back in school. So, I’m quite sure, I’ll see a fluctuated scale number (if I actually checked). My goal, change my physique. I’ve gotten a bit jelly here. Lol you posting your pics is inspiring to me. I love seeing the transformation. I will do the same in the near future and hopefully it’ll help someone else out.

  5. Happy New Year!!! Just remember how far you have come. I hope to have another great year with all of you and watching everyone reach their goals.

As a reminder, it is not how fast that you finish the race but that you finished it. Let's keep this going into 2018!!!

    From 2016 me and beyond!!!

Wow! Look at you!!!! What a difference. I’m loving the updates with pics. Thanks for sharing, I’ve got to get my butt in gear. Thank God the holiday season is now OVER!!!! 😊 keep up the work!

  9. Shared it elsewhere, but I’ve finally been able to put my wedding ring back on. A little bit snug (coming off) but it slides on. I’m a happy wife right now. 😊😍❤️

....how do I add pics to a status?

  10. It’s been a while since I’ve been here. I have to be honest, I got fed up. But, I needed some refreshing to get my mind focused on my health again. Weight loss has slowed significantly, due to a lot of physical stress and holiday preparations. One year I’m going to refuse to do anything for the holidays and let everyone else do it all!!! Just how I feel at the moment. Anyway, haven’t been able to workout either (the pits!!!) been over a month now and I feel very weak, it’s gross. All those weights I’ve done just went out the door. ☹️ Past injuries keep creeping their ugly heads up and it puts a stall on my being able to work out. I’m not worried about my diet, it’s still good. Just wish I can get my body stronger now. Sounds like a lot of complaining but it is what it is now.

Anyone deal with extensor tendinitis in the foot?  Extremely painful...that’s what’s keeping me from moving forward workout wise. I hate it. And a stupid past shoulder injury that won’t let me lift properly. 😡

@ThejeweledsleeveAbsolutely. I need Christmas parties, trips, broken bones, surgeries, sicknesses, spending, and everything else off the table right now!!!! I think I’ll get down and stretch now too. Take some deep breaths. Lol. Thanks hon.

@Thejeweledsleeve, I am not consistent as much as I should be. I try to stretch but it ends up hurting worse. I applied some Deep Blue essential oil blend and cream for a couple of days and it felt pretty good. I’m going to have to continue that and rest my foot as much as possible. Besides cardio, I should have my butt back in the gym doing weights at least. Gotta get back to routine...that’s the hardest part of all this.

  12. So I had a Kanye West moment recently. I went off on a rant. I got my scale it said that I had gained 8lbs in 1 day. How Sway!! How!!

I finally got the courage to video myself doing a workout. I am proud.

@Lenore Cumberbatch PearsonI can, and will probably have to. I am supposed to be doing it for hip bursitis as well. I am too young for all of this! Problem is, I don’t like pt. Seems like it hurts worse then before, I guess being consistent pays off.

  14. Ya'll I took the sexist selfie at the gym yesterday. I messed around and cat-fished myself lol. I was like damn girl I would date all of that lol. Picture had me forgetting about my loose skin and that was amazing. I never thought I would have the confidence to take a picture like this or ever thought I would look like this. My body is coming together nicely. I will take loose skin and smile over being obese and unhealthy any day!!

  15. Really excited to have gotten back into jogging! I used to do cross country back in high school, but after putting on weight I found running difficult, painful, and that I was getting injured often. I'm in the middle of couch to 5k right now and I'm so amazed at how much easier and more pleasant jogging is! Can't wait to get faster, be able to run longer, and see the pounds/inches continue to come off :)

  16. Some before and afters.

  17. It has been awhile since my last status update. Sorry. I have been busy with work and working out. I am now up to 6 days a week. 2 Cardio Days, 1 extremely light cardio day, 2 strength training days and 1 HIIT day.

I know it seems like a lot however, my light cardio day is just me riding a bike around without trying to break a sweat lol.

Sunday: Light Cardio (Ride Bike to Work)

Monday: Strength Training - Lower Body & Core

Tuesday: Cardio - 30/30 Medium Intensity

Wednesday: Strength Training - Upper Body & Core

    Thursday: 30/30 Medium Intensity

    Friday: HIIT

    Saturday: Rest

I have made some smalls workout gains. I can do lunges with 10lbs weights in each hand. I am do reverse lunges with bar using 20lbs of weight. I can leg press 90lbs (which is shocking. I thought since I was heavier and my legs had to move more weight, I would be able to leg press more weight<_<). I can do squats with 25lbs now.

My booty is lifting and firming up too!!!

  19. Today is my first day back at work since my surgery 10/16. I thought I had thought about everything and returning to work, meals, protein, water, etc. One major thing I didn't think about was me getting dressed for work this morning and putting on slacks that I wore pre-surgery...they looked ridiculous and were entirely too big. It was awesome and stressful at the same time. Luckily, as I rummaged through the closet I found a smaller size that I kept for some strange reason, and while still a bit baggy, they were much better. Guess I'll need to get a couple pairs of slacks tonight to get me through the next month or so, then swap those out. What an awesome feeling to get rid of clothes for being to big for a change.

  20. Hello..I had surgery in July 9th and im doing great however once I drank my first vodka..it's like a demon..I say every morning..no more ..then by afternoon. I lie to myself..I drink about a half pint with a lime..the pull is so intense im scared...and I have to stop. What do I do?

  21. It's my 1 year surgiversary!!!!  106lbs down from pre -op weight and 130lbs down from my highest weight.

  22. What a wonderful hubby. He sent me a video text telling me that he wants me to focus on getting my mommy makeover that I want. Sure I’d have to wait for it (I am only 5 months post) but I have his total support with it. He says it’ll be my anniversary gift. 😊 I’ll take it! I better start saving now.

  23. 5 days post op and can't constipated. Can't drink protein drinks. Took milk of magnesia and it goes around problem. Any ideas, to get things moving? Been drinking fluid.

  25. Last week I poured out all the alcohol in the house. I rarely drank pre op but about 6 mths post RNY I stopped declining wine with dinner and very quickly recognized that I was experiencing the food to alcohol addiction transfer.

I'm so glad the alcohol is gone! If anyone feels they are on that slippery slope I encourage you to do the same. So much easy to resist if it is not in the house.

Also, for the first time in 6 months I've broken out of the gain/lose/gain/lose the same few lbs stall and have started to lose again!
