Are you still set for February 13th? I'm on my liquid diet. What about you?>I'm scheduled for VSG for 2/13. I'm looking forward to it. Fortunately, I have a very busy schedule for the next six weeks so I'm expecting the time to just fly by.

Did you ever schedule your surgery?Very likely...seeing surgeon Jan 6 to discuss.
Not that I want the holidays to fly by...but I want this ball rolling.

No. Alas, my PCP's documentation wasn't consistent and so I'm starting over. I'm more likely going to be in April/May. But it'll be here before I know it.

Omg that's exactly what I'm doing!!! And no I'm not sleeved yet. I'm going to get it done in March so I'm preparing myselfHey lady, I just finished an awesome weight training session. Heavy weights today. Like you, I feel great afterwards and I feel great when I wake up. I've always enjoyed hitting up the weights (I do some cardio). Because I'm pre-op, I'm focusing on strength now more than ever. I'd love to hear how you have been doing from time to time! Keep it up! ????♀️

@@cdeisroth my Surgeon is saying the first appointment I had with my doctor doesn't count and that I need 3 after the first visit. Also, did you lose weight on the medically supervised diet?
Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
That's technically correct. The first appt doesn't really count. I too have Cigna and have all the same requirements. My first appt with the nutritionist is when it started. I have three more to finish. For a total of four. When you think about it, the first to second appt, is one month. The second to third is two months and the third to fourth appt is three months. But if your pcp was documenting your weight loss attempts for a consecutive three months (four appts) than that would count. I went from March to December, but none of the documented appointments were consecutive, so I'm just starting over at the surgeons office.

Hey, I'm a skinny girl trapped in a fat body. and more often than not, thinner people tend to be healthier. So, why not?

Wow. That's just terrible. She's got a problem. What happened to loving unconditionally? Even if we don't agree on something someone does or whatever, and we love them, we should always be there for them regardless. Sorry, but I wouldn't call her a best friend anymore. Just my opinion.

Does anyone drink ACV on a daily basis? What are your detox tonics?
Mine is ACV, lemon, stevia, cinnamon and cayenne pepper in warm Water.

I make mine similar to yours. I omit the lemon and use honey. (For now). I love extra cayenne though. Great drink!

How do u lose inches and no weight . Is this just muscle weight? Also what's a day like for eating whose almost 6 weeks out?
Sent from my SM-G930R4 using the BariatricPal AppIn my experience, it's always muscle. In three months (my dieting days), I weight trained, and lost 4 lbs, but I lost 3 inches all around my body. Best way to change your shape!
But if you're not gaining muscle, I wouldn't have any idea how you can lose inches and no weight.
....I'm weight training again, pre-op, in just a couple of weeks I feel a difference in clothes again. But I can probably guarantee you I haven't lost anything or maybe even gained a pound or two. This is why I don't weigh myself.

I'm trying to cut my caffeine now before my pre-op diet and I put Decaf coffee over ice with a scoop of vanilla Protein. It's so so. I haven't gone everyday with it just yet. Keep telling myself to stop buying regular coffee. Just so hard when Chameleon makes some AWESOME cold brew coffees!!! I will for sure abide by the rules when the time comes though and suffer my headaches for a few days if I have to.

I went to the gym yesterday for the first time in way too long and I brought my toddler (almost 2 years old) along with me. There's a daycare center that will watch little ones from 4-8 pm so I thought I'd give it a try. LO normally stays home with his grandmother during the day so he's not used to daycare. I was sort of dreading dropping him off because I was afraid he'd cry.
Upon seeing all the kids and toys, he wriggled out of my arms and ran straight for the action, banging his hands against the barrier enthusiastically to get in and have fun.
Much to my relief, I signed him in, went to the gym and... it was BLISSFUL! I could listen to my music, watch HGTV, and exercise all without a small person clinging to my legs and demanding my absolute undivided attention! Ended up doing 50 minutes of cardio and 15 minutes of stretching.
Even better, LO had a great time and ended up wearing himself out so bedtime was much easier! All around, a major win in my household. My motivation to hit the gym has increased 10-fold.
I used to do the same thing when I was a SAHM. That was my ME time. Good for you. I hope it's still going well, being that I'm almost a month late to this thread.

These two people have very different lives, the one on the left hated Mondays because he had to go to work and didn't feel well because he only had 3 hours of sleep due to the fact his sleep apnea tried to kill him every night. The one on the right cannot wait to wake up after a great night sleep, to get to the gym and sculpt his guns.

here's another thread about air fryers...http://www.bariatricpal.com/topic/384649-air-fryer/?view=findpost&p=4361712&hl=%2Bair+%2Bfryer

What does everyone think about those new Air Fryers that are all over the place these days?
Next week I will be 3 months post-op & to date I have stayed away from ALL fried foods... I have no issues cutting up a sweet potato & making myself a few fries by baking them in the oven, but I keep seeing Ads for these fryers & I really want to know if I'm getting suckered or if it would be a good purchase.
Thoughts?
I looked up hundreds of reviews last night on Walmart.com. Apparently, they're the real deal. Especially the Farber brand. I'm going to get one myself.

I'm a step-mom and I just can't fathom being so cruel to my step-daughter like that. I'm so sorry hon that you had/have to endure that. Like others had mentioned, this is for YOU, not anyone else, regardless of relation. Do what you feel you need to, but just remember, whether obese or not, your step mom has an issue with herself that she projects towards you. If you need to tell your dad, do so, just mentally prepare yourself. OR, have a good talk with your dad about how your stepmom has always treated you and you don't want her abuse anymore. He needs to love you even more and do something about it.
-
It's a little comical how the article stated the people as victims. Unless they were forced to smoke it, I don't believe they should be called victims. Victims are domestic abused, child abused, etc.
Other than that, any addiction can kill. But the synthetic one is just ghastly. We've got a problem here in my city with it too, especially teens. We always hear of someone dying from it.

Thanks for the idea. I'm going to check it out. I love plain chicken anyway (with salt and pepper), I bet it's even better the way you explained. Yum!

I bought a charge HR some time back. Had it on my wrist and my whole arm was in pain. Wasn't too tight or anything. Then I put it on the other wrist, thinking maybe my arm was just upset about something, and that other arm started to hurt too. Then i returned it and did some research. If you've got nerve damage, pain, carpal tunnel....most likely you will have pain. Thousands of others had to return them for the same reasons I had to. Something to do with the darn heart rate monitor. So, I can't have one. I was so bummed out. Hope it works great for you!!

Oh my G! I busted out laughing with this one. Me too!!!!I'm looking forward to it NOT rolling down!

Don't we know it!! haha! Sometimes I wonder to even bother wearing them. LOL

You're experience/story brought tears of joy!!! God bless you and keep you hon. You are an inspiration to all of us, no matter our walks. You've overcame the biggest obstacle of all, your mind. For that, I applaud you! Standing ovation! All the rest will fall in to place, as you have done, getting on the bike and continuing with it. I speak peace, healing, and joy over you!
