  1. I had my surgery Monday afternoon and was discharged last night only because I'm a nurse and can care for my foley cath at home. That being a complication I don't even want to get into. But regardless everything I try to drink anything or a bite of Jello the pain is unbelievable. It doesn't matter the size either. Could be a small sip or literally enough to just coat my tongue. But the moment it hits my stomach I get intense sharp pains. And I have an unbelievable high tolerance for pain. Like I found out during pre-op testing I had fractured a rib but I don't remember doing it. Is anybody else have pain like this? And if so how long ones is last? This is just miserable. Thanks!!!! I had my surgery Monday and Bf came home from happy hour tonight with pizza and I want to secretly sneak down there in the middle of the night and lick it so my hateful side can be all ha ha ha that's what you get for bringing pizza in my house. Please tell me I'm not alone on the weird ideas? LOL Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  3. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal AppWelcome Carolina. I am now home on Friday. I can not tolerate narcotics very well. Toradol helped. My biggest issue since yesterday afternoon has been non-ending nausea. Zofran no help, reglan no help. I went home with the scapolamine patch with really no relief. Every day and every person's experience is unique. But if anyone else has this issue, please share. Thanks. Paula Sent from my EVO using the BariatricPal App Paula that's awful thankfully I haven't rad any n/v but I do get really bad vertigo so I take Compazine with the nausea gets too bad. You should try it. Zofran doesn't work for me phenergan puts me to sleep. Compazine seems pretty for me. See if you can get some. Good Luck!!!!!! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  4. Preach!!!!!! I took the foley out yesterday and was able to get around more but still used ALL my pain med for d/c in 2 days. But when I got up this morning to go get my new script filled I had already started feeling better and late morning I was up running, should be back to normal in another day or two. It's crazy how that gas guilts so built up. But just soooo glad it's over!!!! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App Preach!!!!!! Question for the 100+lb losers

From experience once you get through the "detox" phase and you get used to eating clean your body won't let you eat greasy bad foods again. Physically you can eat them but your body will reject it and after a few hours on the toilet in complete and utter pain, you will never do it again. Now mind you this is not an over night thing this takes months and hard but you will get there Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  6. I started back on gas x today, sent my bf to the store to get me the strips. The difference was like OMG where have you been all my life LOL I wasn't sure about anything to make you poop. I've got miralax in bulk I think I will add back in slowly. But walking has been really hard. We have a townhouse so there is only so much back and forth you can do and since I still have my foley cath it's kind of embarrassing walking down the sidewalk with it hanging off my bathrobe LOL but I have. I'm taking the foley out tomorrow then hit up my surgeon for more pain meds to get through the weekend. Then I'm hoping the bulk of it will be over. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

  9. Definitely at least two full weeks post-op, then it started letting up gradually. I just got off the phone with my Dr's nurse and she said basically the same thing. Just got to wait it out. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

  11. What did they feel like? I think that may very well be it. I've been having a lot of hiccups too so that's making everything a tad bit more tender. But the get that tightness and constricted feeling with anything I swallow and sometimes it comes right back up. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  12. Paula thanks!!! They gave me Jello at the hospital and it is normally found on a clear liquid diet so I assumed it was ok. I will say this, I'm just going to drink Water the rest of the day unless my blood sugar drops then I add a couple of grams of sugar to it to get it up. Otherwise just going to try and rest today and then back to the surgeons tomorrow. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  13. Lizzie I was on dilaudid in the hospital so the pain was no where near as bad as it is now. So it didn't really show up until after I got home. Im still making myself drink some its just a little nerve racking Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
