CLOTHING! I have always been heavy but most of my weight gain is more recent. I really look forward to fitting into some of my old clothes. I have donated a lot of smaller things but there are quite a few pieces I kept. I also had to buy some bigger clothing throughout the year to hold me over. I can't wait to donate it all! And although it's always a struggle in the clothing stores, I can not wait for the day I no longer need to find the "plus size" section (or should I say the few racks shoved in the corner with no signage).

Omg I got my surgery date today!!! I'm feeling so many emotions! Like I'm excited nervous and I wanna cry at the same time!

Same thing happened to me: biopsies of my stomach. It turned out that I had the H. Pylori bacteria and was given a two-week antibiotic treatment. Apparently pretty common, even though I'd never of it till then.

I have to do full liquid for 7 days pre op. I'm kind of looking forward to it.

First day on pre-op diet wasn't so bad. I hope the next 13 loooong days will be the same. Wish me luck! 😉

60 days post opp - 28lbs lighter and adapting.....

I understand. When you make up your mind to do it you want to Go! But it will get here. I started my process in 9/16 and my surgery is just three weeks away.

My process was long too. Started January 2016 had vsg on 12/12/16. You'll get there

Did you try scheduling some therapy? To talk about these issues of not being able to give up types of food. It is hard to consider. I do find cravings to go away the longer I stay off most carbs, I am pre-op and not perfect but striving for improvement. I had to explore why I wanted to eat, the stress eating was from anxiety and I was trying to self soothe and retreat, didn't want to think about whatever was causing the anxiety. Severe PTSD from abuse. I have struggled with it and have only recently crossed over the 'oh h*!! NO bridge you don't get to control me anymore. Good luck.

My gastro did an endoscopy on me on Friday. All went well but he did mention he took a few biopsies.... um, of what?? he said he would send the paper work over for surgery and all and also would call me if something "comes back" on the biopsies.
Is this normal? Did I have something going on? I was still out of it from the anesthesia to question him. Im not freaking out or anything but it's itching me.

It tastes really good, especially when you like your coffee sweet.

Caffeine can effect healing and cause other issues after surgery. I am now 10 weeks post-op (sleeve) and am allowed one caffeine drink a day. Which I don't have. It's just no part of my life now. I drink Decaf coffee. I use premier protien shake for my Creamer. Works perfect for me.

I'm officially down 60 pounds. Today is my 4 month sleeve anniversary. I can't believe i did it. 35 more until i hit my goal.
I found out on this journey that i really love weight lifting and boxing. I also found out that healthy eating isn't as bad as i thought it would be. I'm loving my new lifestyle. I don't know why i didn't do this sooner.

If it was dinner out it would be easier to sit there and eat nothing. I couldn't do that at the home of a friend/relative. I know people would be offended.
Just stay home. The first 3 months all I did was walk, work and learn my sleeve. I went places as little as possible.

Had my sleeve done yesterday at 7am just got home!

What a wonderful post! Not only was it inspiring, but you're a wonderful writer too!
I work in healthcare myself and I've seen the specrum of sucess and failure with patients. When my day finally came, I had to make peace with the fact that it might not work, but I had to try.
Now, three weeks later, I can't tell you how much of a relief I feel that food isn't taking over my life anymore! I know there will always be issues, I'll always want a slice a pizza, but to go about my day, not constantly thinking about my next meal is liberating.
I don't think my doctor grasps how greatful I am for his changing my life, but I'll try to tell him next time I see him without getting too clingy.

Wooooow that's awesome!!!!!

It's been 4 months since my surgery. I'm down 77.2 pounds. So far so good, haven't gotten sick or anything. Had a stall right after my 3 month appt. my struggle is the Hair loss. I feel at the rate it's coming out I could go bald. Is that possible? I know you can't stop it but I'm concerned for sure.

Started out at 138 lost 10 lbs during preop phase.
Weighed 227 day of surgery and now weigh 173 lbs.
Lost 54 lBS since surgery on November 17th. My last progress pic was about 2 months ago so I'm a little smaller now.
My kids are very proud of me and my daughter (15 yrs old) has been a little inspired and is also trying to eat healthier as she is like me with slower metabolism and gains weight easily, while my husband and son(18yrs old) can eat anything and remain skinny.
My husband still buys me chocolates and my son throws them away and reminds him of how far I've come. They try to be as supportive as possible, I'm lucky in that aspect.
My happiest moment was being in old navy with my son trying on a size 14 and after being an 18/20 and the 14 was too big so my son suggested a size 12. I was nervous and after trying them on and showing my son he asked me if I was crying. It was an emotional moment for me.
My weight loss has been slow as I hit a stall for several weeks now but im trying not to lose moral and take it one day at a time and look at the positive rather than the negative. Any advice on this stall is so welcome

I was sleeved on December 7th of 2016. My heavy weight was 362lbs. Around my surgery date I was around 347lbs. I'm currently at 299lbs. A total loss of 63.5lbs.

Mine was today as well.
