You've got to figure out what your body needs at each stage. When I wasn't getting in my Protein my weight loss DONALD. The minute I was able to increase my protein and my Water intake I started to lose. And felt so much better. It was a real process of trial and error. You must have patience with the process. It is well worth it. I had my surgery on February 23. And today I've lost 85 lbs. there are still things that I can't eat. And by that I mean my body just won't tolerate. I found a regimen that works for me for now. Also trial and error. Hearing what other people have tried and really paying close attention to my body and how it Tolerates and I just has gotten me this far.

I hope I hate chocolate after surgery. Lol

On the show she says 11 months for everything. I think it's absurd.

I think I started losing my hair at about 4 months. I'm a little over 7 months out and its finally slowing down. When I went for my 6 month follow-up, he told me that it would stop once I stopped losing weight, but that didn't help me feel too much better for the present! I was already taking Biotin and fish oil, which he said would help, but he also told me to take zinc. So I have added that in also. I'm not sure if that is what helped it slow down, or if its just that my weight loss has slowed some since I don't have as much to lose now. Either way, I'm glad it has slowed!

Surgery at 7:30 Monday morning. How did that happen so soon? Nervous, excited, questioning my decision, fear, mourning, disappointment in myself (that it came to this), but mostly so looking forward to living a life that I want to live instead of what my body will allow. So many things on my mind-how in the world will I sleep this weekend? Good luck to all of us Monday, what an adventure we are starting!

Thanks for the responses! Definitely some things to think about. I probably won't go, and will probably decide about the rest of the family based on how I feel. It seems there is a wide variety of experiences post op and maybe deciding now isn't really going to work. I will say that quiet time and doing my own thing sounds good. I may kick them out of the house often even if they don't travel far away!
