I am 8 months post op and have reached my goal. I am slowly increasing my calories, but the cravings hit me out of the blue!!! I started craving sugar really bad. I have found that suddenly I can eat more and I don't get uncomfortable and that is scary. Looks like I need to increase my activity and get back on the straight and narrow!!

I am 60 pounds down and have met my first goal. I am a "lightweight" so I only have 10 pounds left. I just increased my calories from 800-900. I do get nervous though when I realize that the amount that I can eat is increasing. I would love to stay with the very small servings, but as I understand it, the goal is to move to small, but normal serving sizes at some point. Correct? Any post op pros out there on how life looks at goal?

I log everything in fitness pal. I try to stay at 800 cals a day. My Protein goal is 65-100 gms daily. Sometimes I have to use Protein Shakes to achieve that. I stick to lean meats, and I eat something about every 2-3 hours. I have learned not to let myself get too hungry.
I walk 2-3 times a week, and I go to the gym 3 times a week.
Hope that helps. -
Hey thanks for the help on the app. Eating slow is my biggest struggle. I am ALWAYS on the go and it is difficult to stop and focus on eating.

I was at 36 BMI. 34 lbs down at 7 weeks post op. Walk, walk, walk. It is the key to healing quickly and keeping your head in the right place. Have a plan and stick to it. Best thing I've done for myself.

I experienced what you are describing. I had to sleep on my sofa for 3 nights because I couldn't get in and out of my bed. But by day 4 it was better. Keep walking, it helps. I also found that binding my stomach gave some relief as well.

Without going in to all the detail, I've experienced some major life changes in the last six months. I've also found that I've gained 10 pounds. I'm at 18 months post op and I am no longer uncomfortable when I overeat.
How do you keep motivated? How do you hit your refresh button each day? What are your eating habits at goal weight?
Thanks everyone.
