ssigmund reacted to BostonGary in Did you have WLS? The audacity of some.
I treat my WLS like it was a life saving operation.
I view this surgery no different than having heart surgery or any other high risk surgery to save someones life. I see no embarrassment or issue with telling people "I had weight loss surgery because I was getting far too heavy and unhealthy."
The stigma needs to stop -- this surgery should be treated no differently than any other surgery.
Remember, this isn't a "solution" it's a tool to help you survive.

ssigmund reacted to Sullie06 in Do you find that vomiting has become part of your post VSG life?
Glad to hear it's getting better. I'm 4.5 months out and luckily have not had to vomit at all. I was nauseous right after from the anesthesia but I didn't throw up. I do get slimies from time to time but if I get up and move it usually helps it pass.

I haven't related it to eating but I'm definitely a lot more cold now. Especially my hands.

    Hi all,
Well today is the 23rd day after my gastric sleeve. I'm down too 204lbs. I'm still on a full liquid diet till next week. I'm walking 6 miles a day and doing cardio at gym twice a week. Drinking all my Protein and Water. It hard but I keep going. I put on my 36" shorts today and fit good!!! I was in size 44!!! I stalled for a few days but dropped inches and today I lost 3lbs!!! So keep up the hard work everyone and stay focus on yourself. Have a great evening!!!
    Go cowboys!!!

You are 5 ft 5 inches, 183 pounds, you have a BMI of 30.5. Here in the states nobody reputable would touch you. Anyone reputable would send you to counseling.

You may find plain Water difficult to drink. I know it sounds crazy but many will attest. I did have to flavor mine with crystal light or snapple.
I also used premiere Protein chocolate drinks.
Sip your drinks but do this pretty constantly to get it all in.
