  7. I'm two months post op and can now have regular food. How do you eat a salad when it's combined with protein and veggies? For example the nits and chicken is mixed it? I can't eat protein first in this case?

    More milk or water?

I like genepro unflavored and PB 2 powdered peanut butter. But remember unflavored still has a little flavor. I tried a few and like genepro best.

    Cheated

Sleeved 1/11. Down 20 pounds and feeling great. But today I cheated and I feel terrible. I had three bites of pizza. I did good all day meeting my protein quantity. I'm so mad I wasn't even hungry but the pizza looks so good. I'm trying to put this behind me and just looking forward to tomorrow. Thanks for listening

    Constipation. Tmi lol

I'm 6 weeks out and experiencing constipation too. I do take 2 doclace and it seems to help milk mag doesn't work for me. My doctor says It's common because we aren't getting fruits and veggies In. I started refrained beans but don't like them. Chili is good but I still take doclace (sp) daily sometimes two.
  15. Me too. I'm not counting carbs yet. I'm at 6 weeks and almost every day I lose a pound. I treat my self to a treat daily.

    Alcohol

I use to be a wine consultant, so wine is my favorite! I also drank it in moderation. And actually before I decided on surgery my NUT told me I could have 4 oz a day. But when I decided on surgery I stopped drinking. And it was refreshing. I save so much $ too. Because I would open a bottle and then drink a glass and that be it. Red wine is only good for two days once opened. But now I am six weeks out and still no craving for alcohol. I set a goal though. Going on vacation end of March to New Orleans so planning to have a drink or two. Wine has sugar so I'll make sure to have no sugar foods that time. I also know that it's all temporary. I'm still in healing phase. The key is Moderation!

    Eating slow.

I bought a yeti cup. It keeps beverages cold or hot for 24-35 hours. I use this for my coffee, shakes soups. I read to buy baby food warmers for food. Might try that for when I'm home. But I'm also getting use to cold food. Haha

    Coffee

Can't you add a dash of milk? It has protein. I don't think it will hurt. But I'm not a doctor either.

    Protein recommendations!

My NUT said it to combine more than 30 grams of protein at a time. For some reason it doesn't absorb? To spread it out it out at least 3x a day. Just wanted to let you know.

    Coffee

I too stopped caffeine two weeks before switched to decaf. But a week after surgery My doctor said I can have a cup a day of caffeinated So I do. It takes more than a cup to get dehydrated from caffeine. Just make sure you drink plenty of water too.
  21. Me too! Love love!! I also eat sugar free Italian ices. It's so much better than chips. Oh I love SF Fudgsicles too.

    Losing my hair

I understand your fear. This was one of my biggest fears too. I did research and found that not everyone loses hair. And I am going through menopause and was losing it to begin with. But I found that if you keep your Protein up, take your Vitamins it will be ok. I actually found that since surgery my hair has grown back in spots. I swear it's because of the increase in protein. Also remember if it does happen, it's temporary and to me that is worth it. I love my new life style and I feel so healthy.
